Donald Trump’s campaign is moving aggressively to shore up his support in three Rust Belt states (Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania) that propelled him to the presidency, but where his own polling shows him in trouble heading into 2020.

Trump scrambles to reverse Rust Belt slide

Trump will travel to Pennsylvania Monday for a rally that comes after recent visits to Wisconsin and Michigan, two other states at the center of his reelection strategy. Those appearances are just the most public display of his team’s efforts to fortify his standing.

Behind the scenes, they've rushed to the aid of languishing state Republican Party machines and have raised concerns that a potential GOP Senate candidate in Michigan could hurt the president’s prospects there. They are also scrutinizing the map for opportunities to fire up his base in the trio of states.

The moves come at a time of growing anxiety over the geographic linchpin of his 2020 hopes. The Trump campaign recently completed a 17-state polling project that concluded the president trails Joe Biden in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, according to two people briefed on the results. America First Action, the principal pro-Trump super PAC, is expected to conduct its own polling and focus groups in Pennsylvania and Michigan later this summer.

....

So, trouble in paradise, glitch in the matrix, or nothing to see here?

. . . and I suppose you posted for us the corporate establishment polling about Hillary too.

I'm not much for corporate propaganda. And Nov. 2020 is pretty far away. Why not discuss something infinitely more interesting and useful to the campaign matters?

Tell me, who do you think is the bigger lush, Hillary or Biden? :71:

Gonna get interesting once Biden and Bernie begin battling because both believe they’d be the best boss. Bears, Beets, Bernie vs Biden.

Who knows where Michigan and Wisconsin will stand come 2020, but Pennsylvania may be an uphill battle for Trump this time around. Last time PA was considered an upset, and this time he may be facing a Pennsylvania native from a working class family.

I hear HuffPo is giving Biden a 99,9% chance of winning.

Don't I know it!!!

If this was October of 2020 it would be something to see as it is May of 2019 not so much. Let’s see what the polling says after some primary debates when the candidates have to start going after each other.

This is good to know, probably too early to tell but I would be curious as to how other candidates did against Trump.

Oooooooo.......another 'LANDSLIDE' coming, huh?!

:abgg2q.jpg:

Just a blue wave, we can't count on a tsunami; we still have 28 -34% true believers that Mexico will pay for the wall, they got a tax cut and their children and grand children will live with clean air, clean water and keep warm by clean coal.

Trump was trailing the Evil Queen of Mean in those same states prior to election night 2016 according to the same stupid polls.

If you only poll stupid Moon Bats you will only get stupid Moon Bat responses. We found that out in 2016, didn't we?
