“Trump’s Going To Get Re-elected, Isn’t He?”

One of the golf pros I work with is from Canada. He had a heart issue which made him so weak he could barely walk a few hundred feet without having to stop and rest. He waited almost nine months before having the procedure because there was a que of people in front of him. That's the reality of having that many people on a healthcare system. All I'm saying is that if someone tells you there won't be long waits for procedures to be done...they're not being honest with you.
Someone always have some anecdotal story..."I know a guy."

If someone is telling you that there's going to be overly long lines to get much needed treatment...they're not being honest with you.

BTW, how long do you have to wait now to see a heart specialist?

If I want to see my cardiologist, I make an appointment and I see him. It's usually a week...perhaps two weeks during high season when more people are here.

The underlying point Genie Ass, is that clearly you're in a financial position where you don't need to have medical insurance.

A financial position that many Americans are not privileged enough to have.

Hence the need for Obamacare, and now the push to expand medicare for all. So that all Americans can have at least SOME level of access to the healthcare as you do.

Starting to get it now?

People need food and shelter more than they need healthcare.

Forcing every McDonald's and every grocery store to give everyone all the free food they can carry isn't the answer.

The answer is freedom, but you're too busy trying to be a slave to notice that.

Yup.

"I’m struck at how many people have come up to me recently and said, “Trump’s going to get re-elected, isn’t he?” And in each case, when I drilled down to ask why, I bumped into the Democratic presidential debates in June. I think a lot of Americans were shocked by some of the things they heard there. I was.

"I was shocked that so many candidates in the party whose nominee I was planning to support want to get rid of the private health insurance covering some 250 million Americans and have “Medicare for all” instead. I think we should strengthen Obamacare and eventually add a public option.

"I was shocked that so many were ready to decriminalize illegal entry into our country. I think people should have to ring the doorbell before they enter my house or my country.

"I was shocked at all those hands raised in support of providing comprehensive health coverage to undocumented immigrants. I think promises we’ve made to our fellow Americans should take priority, like to veterans in need of better health care."

Yes, he is!

Trump is going to get re-elected! GOD BLESS President Trump!:thewave:

Do you see any Dems denouncing them or their statements? Not one Democrat attended the embassy opening in Jerusalem. I won’t tell you how to be black so don’t tell me how to be a Jew.
I don't see any current Repugs in office denouncing Trump's racist remarks. That's what I don't see.

As for the rest...nobody's telling you how to be a Jew. I simply pointed out the fact that Jews, in this country, vote OVERWHELMINGLY for Democrats. And this has been the case, in like, forever.

Has been. We ll see how it is in 2020. You’re weak sauce. I dont Ask for reparations you do.

Who cares about their insurance company?

They're the real life death panels Republicans were shrieking so much about when Obama was fixing the mess.

They care about getting access to their doctor and receiving actual healthcare.

You haven't seen a real life death panel until Medicare-for-All comes to fruition.
You talk like a lib with good current health insurance!
Are you currently on medicare?

Explain why it's so bad?

You claim that everyone from Canada and Great Britain love their healthcare system and I simply pointed out that there are some serious negatives involved in those systems...one of which is healthcare rationing. It's not something Americans are used to. It's something many of them are NOT going to like if it's ever implemented.
I already stated that no system is perfect.

So what you said isn't adding or taking anything away from the argument.

However, it's a helluva lot better than what we have here...not to mention cheaper...for everyone.

If I want to see my cardiologist, I make an appointment and I see him. It's usually a week...perhaps two weeks during high season when more people are here.
So currently you have to wait between 1 to 2 weeks, right?

How long do you think you will have to wait if EVERYONE in America, now has access to the same healthcare that you do now?

How much do you think you SHOULD wait, considering that EVERYONE has access to healthcare?

Yupp!
Medicare with a great supplemental program!
Without the supplemental, my wife and I would go to the back of the que when our healthcare needs addressing.
Besides, we paid into Medicare our whole working lives before becoming eligible.
Giving Medicare across the board to everyone means that non-contributors get the same benefit as people who paid their way throughout their work career. It's the same principle that allows illegals to benefit from America as the immigrants who arrived legally, and in most cases paid 3-5k out of pocket to become citizens! It's a tilted playing field.
All I can say to those on our current Medicare without a supplemental, is good luck, but you're gonna go broke at some time in your retirement. Not my fault as I've been living and playing under the same systemic rules as them, and now Commies wanna change those rules.
PS-Supplementals also apply to affordability
for prescription drugs and that"s a separate supplemental private program fee.

I'm satisfied with the plan and healthcare I have.

However, I recognize that some people are destitute and/or indigent and can't afford to see a doctor. Addressing just THOSE PEOPLE's problem, instead of forcing everyone into new plans and turning millions of people's worlds upside down is insane.

I'm definitely in favor of both public and private charity to help the destitute minority get basic medical care if needed. America already has federal certainly "Family health centers" and numerous charity hospitals and those numbers can and should be expanded.

The problem with Medicare "for all" is that it forces people into a plan that is different, they may actually like their Private plan.

Why would EVERYONE in America have the same healthcare plan that I do? I have a private plan. That isn't what you progressives are pushing, Marc. Your solution to healthcare is Medicare for all. I can tell you exactly what will happen if that's ever implemented. The wait times for most procedures will increase dramatically and for the more expensive procedures...those wait times will be daunting.

As for how long I think I should wait to see a doctor? Not nine months like my Canadian friend! It was brutal watching him have to deal with that. If I've got a health issue...I want it resolved. It's why I pay for the plan that I have.

Marc and commie Dems wanna make sure that people who planned poorly and chose unhealthy lifestyles as they aged get covered the same as those of us who planned well and avoided unhealthy lifestyles.
Commies think that's equality throwing everyone into a same shitty Medicare for all at any age system!

"Freedom" to die due to lack of access to proper healthcare is not freedom at all jag off.

You do realize that not one single, solitary, living Canadian would trade their healthcare system for what we have here in the US, right?

So tell me, what procedure was he waiting for? Be specific.

Will Trump be reelected?

Quite possibly.

The Left has been shooting itself in the foot even more frequently and severely than the Orange Creature himself.

Talk to those who are in those systems, Marc...they will tell you that there are long waits for certain medical procedures. You have a heart problem that isn't critical...chances are you're going to waiting for some time before that problem is addressed. It's what happens when you put millions more people onto a new system. Panels decide what is critical and what is not. You as a patient no longer have control over your own health. That's what people refer to as "death panels"...a term which I think is overblown! Will some people die because they can't get an issue resolved immediately? Probably. What I think people will find happening much more often than that however is being stuck waiting for a long time to get medical treatment. Those of you calling for Medicare for all need to understand that's the way it's going to be.
That's the key phrase here...it's not critical.

BTW, a decision made by YOUR doctors.

They know what's best, they have other patients to worry about, others that may be more critical than you.

What you're arguing for ostensibly is for you and your ilk to be the ONLY ones w/access to good healthcare, the rest be damned.

No sir, not any more.

When ALL Americans have access to good healthcare, that'll open the FREE MARKET to multiple medical positions, which will stimulate the economy even more.

It's a win-win-win.

Republicans only think of themselves, and themselves alone, that's a recipe for the destruction of a country.

Private companies can, and will still, supply alternative/additional healthcare options.

That won't go away.

So what's really the complaint here?

That you might have to wait a week, two, three more longer, just because now EVERYONE ELSE has access to the same care you do?

That won't kill you. You'll get over it, and the country will be better off because of it.

He's not waiting anymore...he died two nights ago. I'd like to think it wasn't because he had to wait so long to have someone try and fix his heart...who really knows though? The whole thing makes me sad...

The ones with money choose our system over Canada's everytime they hop the border to get some of our medical care.
