1.The more Trump improves America, and keeps the promises he made, the more rabid his opponents become. Central to the establishment’s rage is this:

"Trump kills 16 regulations for every new one, crushing 2-for-1 goal"
Trump kills 16 regulations for every new one, crushing 2-for-1 goal

2.“…remove every outdated, unlawful and excessive regulation on the books….” President Trump
At its heart, this is the conservative motive for a Trump vote: shrinking government.

3.And at the top of the list of agencies that impose burdensome regulation is the misnamed Department of Education. As those who have paid attention, it is really the Department of Social Engineering.
If any proof is necessary….simply note the precipitous drop in American children’s scores on international tests since the creation of this department, by Democrats.

A better title is ‘the Department of Democrat Indoctrination.’

4. There never was a national, federal bureau to oversee education, an authority not given the federal government in the Constitution, until Democrat Jimmy Carter needed the teacher vote.

And, for Democrats, their power supersedes any desire to better children’s learning.

5. “In 1972, the massive union [The National Education Association (NEA)] formed a political action committee…released ‘Needed: A Cabinet Department of Education’ in 1975, but its most significant step was to endorse a presidential candidate- Jimmy Carter- for the first time in the history of the organization.
D.T. Stallngs, “A Brief History of the Department of Education: 1979-2002,” p. 3.

If there is any doubt about why Democrat Carter formed the Department of Education....
a. “In November 1995, when the federal government shut down over a budget crisis, 89.4 percent of the department’s employees were deemed ‘nonessential’ and sent home.”
Beck and Balfe, “Broke,” p.304

President Trump should abolish the entire department.

6. The NYTimes opined, at the time: “…education will continue to do better without a central bureaucracy….American education needs many reforms, but a separate Department of Education is not one of them.” Centralizing Education Is No Reform

Education had to wait until 2016 for its Knight in Shining Armor.

7. Some 30 years later, the Department of Education has fundamentally changed education in America…..and not for the better.

Especially ‘higher education.’

Since 1996, college education costs have skyrocketed some 200%- far beyond inflation.

“We literally have, not just more administrators than faculty, more administrators than we have people doing teaching, (etc,)….as a result, costs go way up.”

8. “Graduation rates have declined….not 59% among students seeking a four year degree….Lower still for minorities…
Student loan defaults are soaring….

9. The Trump administration has tried to end many regulations

“…gone is Michelle Obama’s school lunch program- chocolate milk is back…

Also gone is ‘No Child Left Behind’ and ‘The Race To The Top’

Transgender Bathroom guidance has been cut

And most controversial, …withdrawn Title IX standards for sexual misconduct, believing it denied the accused fundamental due process. Courts appear to be vindicating DeVos in her push for due process. “(accused) Students are suing and universities are losing to the tune of big damage awards….”
(at 26:00)

There have been 79 court decisions in favor of those ‘accused.’
