tRump's despicable attitude toward the historic fire in Calif. proves he hates America.

As a result of what is happening in Calif with the fires and loss of life further proves 45's indifference and callous way of demonstrating he simply does nor care. Additionally, this so-called president further proves he is more devoted to Russia and other enemies of America than the well being of U.S. society and having any outreach or compassion for victims of natural and man made disasters. 45's atrocious and cold shoulder attitude toward the historic fire and victims of this environmental disaster whether man made and/or by nature demonstrates his utter contempt at being a inhumane and a negative demagogue.

Trump couldn't just express empathy for California fire victims. What's the matter with him?

Trump’s first tweet about the California fires should have been: “We are saddened by the loss of life and property caused by California’s fires. Our thanks and admiration to the firefighters and others on the front lines of this tragedy. Your government will do everything it can to assist.”

Instead, it was: “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now or no more Fed payments!”

Yeah those fires are California’s fault. 100%. They shouldn’t get any money whatsoever as those fires could have been prevented, or made less severe.
if I had any relatives die due to the mismanagement of the underbrush/ chaparral, then I'd sue the state.

Funny, we don't see these kinds of fires on the east side mountain ranges, Appalachian and Smokey's

They are suing the elec. company. They call themselves the Northern California Fire Lawyers.

Hope they destroy them. PG&E always gets off the hook.

Even the Rockies, Big Horn and Elk mountains manage to not burn like Cali. Honestly, the bureaucracy that is CDF and BLM needs a purge. The enviro-quacks need to be purged.

No one is saying 100% fault, but is happening in a state that dropped the ball on Forest MANAGEMENT as I pointed out in bottom part of POST #8

Healthy forests burn. The chaparral grows, dies, a naturally occurring fire burns off a layer or two of dead brush. Democrat policies have that dead brush building up for years, even decades.

Get rid of Democrats half our natural disaster problems would be over.

they are a natural disaster.

Can’t put it all on democrats.

The stupid CA Democrats screwed up by preventing the removal of underbrush
And yet one of the fires started on federally managed lands.

Politicizing deadly disasters betrays a shallowness of thought and an abscence of humanity.
If you noticed, our deplorable trumpanzees suggest that the solution is to destroy ALL the vegetation.
No.
Lying bitch.
Remove the deadfall and dead underbrush.
The brush will grow back.

wow are you under educated. burning off of vegetation actually increases growth of vegetation. you should look it up. or here, it's explained here:

Using Fire to Improve Wildlife Habitat | NC State Extension Publications

"Wildlife biologists such as Herbert Stoddard recognized the value of fire as a tool to conserve habitat for many wildlife species as early as the 1920s (Figure 2). Many of North Carolina's plants and animals adapt well to fire because much of the state's lands burned frequently for thousands of years. Here are some specific examples of fire's value to wildlife:

  • Grasses, legumes, and other herbaceous plants germinate and flower following a fire and harbor insects and produce seeds beneficial to quail, turkeys, and songbirds. This lush growth provides cover for small mammals and young turkeys and quail (Figure 3).
  • Fire burns away much of the leaf litter on the forest floor and exposes insects and seeds. Many wildlife species move into recently burned areas to feed on these newly available foods.
  • Many shrubs produce more fleshy fruit 2 to 5 years after a fire than they would if they had been in an area that had not been burned.
  • Young hardwoods that sprout back after a fire have more available protein and phosphorus and are more palatable to white-tailed deer and eastern cottontails than their unburned counterparts (Figure 4).
  • Low ground cover and patches of shrubs are typical of frequently burned areas. This varied pattern of vegetation provides protective cover and abundant insects for some songbirds and young turkeys and quail."

Underbrush is removed and replaced by iceplant within reach of homes.....are you saying that all chaparral throughout the state needs to be stripped out in order to prevent fires? View attachment 228716
it does need to be maintained. You should ask yourself what is the fuel for the fires? So you think it's trees?
How do you suggest we continously "maintain" millions of acres of rough chaparral in steep canyons and back country? Pave it all? And no, I do not think its trees, it's chaparral. You DO know what that is, right?
Well I would imagine that the maintenance would be near where people live so as to not have their lives in jeopardy. just me.
Homeowners would clear the dead brush but the state sues them when they do.

I know. It's why I'd sue their fking asses if anyone dies because of the fire.

No, the build-up of fuel was due to flaming sloth and disregard.

Why do you support such an obvious lie. We are required to clear brush around our homes...the fire dept comes in if you don't, does it for you and bills you. There are companies starting up around here that are using goats to clear brush....if I had the space to keep them and transport them, I might even start it as a side line.

It is like blaming Florida for hurricanes.

don't give him any ideas....
it is how? see underbrush can be cleared out using a control burn and avoid fires. get rid of the kindling.
When? Fire season is 12 months now....you want to do a control burn during fire season? :71:
it's called a controlled burn. guess what that means? controlling the burn, it isn't difficult to understand.

control burns are the best tool. It is best for the ecosystem.

Power lines of tomorrow will sport vandal-proof sensors and cams, drones will swiftly be deployed just as they were in ebola country. Sentinel trees will monitor an area and also be equipped with sound repellent technology as well as listening technology (bark beetle chirp ranges around 237 Hz).

When Clinton was signing for no roads, Clinton was castrating citizen science and citizen monitoring.

'The roads you are building open up the forests and aid in their administration and protection. They aid in forest fire protection by making all parts of the forest accessible....It has been proved by history that a nation which neglects and destroys its forests is certain to suffer the loss of the other vital resources of land and water.'

And.....that would be nice....if there was a time when it would be safe.....we aren't even allowed to have open campfires 12 months out of the year now because of fire hazard.
