• This is happening because of CA state regulations
• Firefighters not only have to fight fires but also fight the State Of California

it does need to be maintained. You should ask yourself what is the fuel for the fires? So you think it's trees?

How do you suggest we continously "maintain" millions of acres of rough chaparral in steep canyons and back country? Pave it all? And no, I do not think its trees, it's chaparral. You DO know what that is, right?

Actually much of the area that's catching on fire is close to cities. Power lines and homeless people starting fires.
When it comes to the desert, tree-huggers don't believe in taking care of the woods and brush. Bush spent his Summers clearing it out on his property in Texas. California liberals just want to leave it to rot and become fire hazards.
