Big Orange is convinced his voting base would be offended beyond repair if he were too quick sending aid to Puerto Rico. Like his conservative minions, the Big Orange Idiot believes Puerto Rico is a foreign country full of illegal aliens from Mexico.
He’s heard Puerto Ricans speak their broken English and rattle off Spanish just like the other rapists and murderers from Mexico. So, it's illogical to the Big Orange Idiot’s mind to send help to the island after Hurricane Irma destroyed it. His supporters concur.
However, after his advisers explained Puerto Rico IS part of the U.S. and its residents are indeed citizens, Big Orange relented. But, just to be safe, the Big Orange Idiot made certain the aid that did arrive at the island would be trickled out very s-l-o-w-l-y to those in need. Proof of this came when acting Homeland Security Secretary Elaine Duke declared that " 'the relief effort is under control.' "
A few hours later, the Big Orange Idiot added to the tradition started by Dubya after Hurricane Katrina. Just as Dubya patted himself on the back for his own incompetence, and then told Brownie his debacle was a “heckuva job”, the Big Orange Idiot tweeted, " ‘FEMA & First Responders are doing a GREAT job in Puerto Rico.' "
As usual, the Big Orange Idiot distanced himself from reality, just like his fans.
