Before the National Anthem is replaced with the Looney Tune ending following Porky Pig, Americans may want to ponder the emergence of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the leftist, caricature of a serious member of Congress. Cortez has burst forth from the closet of the Democratic Party in an effort to lead a giddy mass movement of socialist revivalism in the midst of the most successful capitalist nation on Earth.
At a time when the party is still reeling from the stunning election loss of 2016 amid partisan, mock investigations and presidential character assassination, Cortez has popped up like a bizarre Marxist jack-in-the-box.
The flaccid and unimaginative Republican Party has survived the election of Donald Trump much better than the Democratic Party that has plunged to the depths of delusional self-identification with the gullible, lunatic fringe leftism elevating figures like Bernie Sanders who described Venezuela as a “socialist paradise”.
But the knock-out blow of Trump’s election has left many democrats so punch drunk that Ocasio-Cortez could be the First Congressperson in history to run a political campaign on the Cartoon Channel.
Cortez is not alone in the laughable Democratic Party cast of characters some of whom, like Elizabeth Warren, are actually running for president. Warren used the fraudulent stolen valor of Native Americans to gain an upwardly mobile advantage in the scholastic arena of political correctness. Now Warren, like Cortez, is out there peddling the quackery of state socialism like she just discovered the wheel.
These are the slapstick contenders the Democratic Party is going to put up against Trump in 2020? What the hell happened to that party? The kindergarten mentality of Ocasio-Cortex is no threat due to her age but Warren is out there slogging the phony, bedridden mythology of socialism to a receptive audience of government-dependent professional malcontents.
Internet images of “Indian princess” Warren nursing a bottle on the “trail of beers” is comic relief to reasonable people but they hit home with the unwashed haters.
Trump is no choir boy but get ready for four more years of his administration. There just aren’t enough people in America willing to become Amish with a Green New Deal and socialist like Venezuela. Returning to the nineteenth century without indoor plumbing and hitching up a team of horses to live under imposed socialism is not on their list. Soap and toilet paper are not luxuries
