After his supporters beat up a Black Lives Matter protester on video, Donald Trump suggested that they may have done the right thing.

The protester, a black man, reportedly started chanting Black Lives Matter at a rally in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday. In a video captured by CNN reporter Jeremy Diamond, rally attendees swarm around the man, kicking and punching him as he curls up on the ground.

Trump was asked to weigh in on his supporters’ actions on Fox & Friends Sunday morning. “Maybe he should have been roughed up,” he said. “It was disgusting what he was doing.”

The Republican frontrunner compared what happened at his rally to a Black Lives Matter protest at a Bernie Sanders event, which prompted the Democratic candidate to release a detailed racial justice plan. “This is not the way Bernie Sanders handled his problem, I will tell you, but I have a lot of fans and they were not happy about it. And this was a very obnoxious guy, a troublemaker, looking to make trouble,” Trump said.

He gave a similarly winking response when his supporters have turned violent in the past. Two men in Boston said they ambushed and brutally beat a homeless Latino man because they were “inspired” by Trump, who later explained his supporters “are very passionate” and “love this country.”

Everyone here knows that I think blacklivesmatters is a group of assholes and pieces of shit, BUT this isn't the way Americans handle someone simply speaking their mind. You don't tell your supporters that it is ALRIGHT to beat up someone that is speaking their mind as it is their constitutional right....

NO YOU CALL YOUR SECURITY and they ask him/her to leave or they call the police.

I don't think using this stupid excuse "This Isn't What Americans Do" is going to fly.

It's obvious that acting like a politically-correct American isn't working.

As Obama said; "Maybe it's time we tried something different!"

From what I remember, this country was built by people who were willing to stand up and put a lick upside someone's head when they became disruptive to the peace and tranquility of this society.

He has no right to "speak his mind" at a Trump rally, which is a private venue. Trump leased the auditorium, and he therefore had the right to set the rules in place. Not allowing protests is one of his rules. Don't like it? Then get the fuck out. If you insist on breaking the rules, then you authorize the use of force against you.

Couldn't have been too beat up if he left on his own power, and no arrests were made.

Birmingham Police Lt. Sean Edwards confirmed to CBS News that three people were asked to leave the event after the skirmish broke out. All three departed, and no arrests were made.

If it is a private event, one shows up to disrupt it, they can't use their free speech or patriotism as an excuse. This member of BLM came with a mission to disrupt a private event and make it look like he got the crap kicked out of him for no reason.

RUMP PROTESTOR NOT CRIPPLED :eusa_dance:

Local authorities have confirmed that the heckler at a Donald Rump orgy did not sustain two broken legs, nor was his eye gouged out, nor was he set on fire or even tarred and feathered.

Rump's campaign pointed to the absence of disembowling as evidence of the candy-date's "tolerance".

Film at 11.

Rump later commented: "I have a great relationship with "The Protestors". They love me. You know what? I'm gonna build them a hotel where they can do their thing. It'll be called the Rump Protest Palace Casino. It's gonna be huuuuuuuuuuge. I can afford it".

Britpat is on point on this one.

Those rallies are private venue.

Plus, Trump already warned BLM that he is going to kick them out if they try to disrupt his rallies.

"I don't know what this protester was expecting."

Hilarious. Comedy gold right there!

usually they are not creative enough for that. They take an existing event, and embellish it or twist it to get a good gotcha headline that remains in place long after the actual truth comes out.

"Exaggerate" huh? Well that's not cool. People who exaggerate be all like...

Carto%25CC%2581n1665.jpg

I have to admit, that's some pretty good over-exaggerating.

Although running to KKK gear is the American based equivalent of Godwin's law. The artist wins for sheer over the top demagoguery, but fails with the KKK reference. It was a cheap way out. Plus if you go the KKK route, the pointy hat should have been on, with the face showing.

Uh -- what "KKK gear"?

If the artist intended a Klan reference the robe would be white and it would need, as you note, a pointed hood.

Didn't know that.

But you did -- interesting.

It's funny how the Trump threads get most of the attention.

No one gives a shit about Hillary. We all know she is a crook and a liar.

Trump on the other hand? He is an unknown. We don't know if he is a crook and a liar. He's sort of like that train wreck or that car crash on the road up ahead. It's a mystery you can't look away from.

He's like that huge argument you see in the restaurant or the mall involving a bunch of folks, you don't know what it's about, but you can't help but be interested, because it is so fascinating. It is even a bit scary.

That is why his threads here, and his stories in the media always attract so much attention. It's also why the stories spun about him are always so full of both disinformation and misinformation.

If he doesn't have enough delegates to win the nomination, I think his true colors will be revealed by whom he throws those delegates behind for the final nomination if he doesn't drop out. I've been reading a bit about a brokered convention, but a lot of it stems from the WSJ which I refuse to enter personal info to be data mined.

Again, know your enemy. I've read Mein Kampf as well, that doesn't make me a Nazi. Being informed about things that are evil and things you don't agree with doesn't mean you support them.

That's the type of ignorance the SJW types are going for.
