We thought the Nazi threat was dead. But Donald Trump has revived it | Jonathan Freedland

The word from the White House is that the events at Charlottesville are behind them now, and they’re ready to move on. Sure, there is still some fallout from the 12 August march by neo-Nazis, white supremacists and the Ku Klux Klan, as well as from Donald Trump’s subsequent declaration that those racists and fascists who carried flaming torches and swastika flags included some “very fine people”. There are reverberations too from the president’s initial non-condemnation condemnation, in which if he saw “hatred, bigotry and violence” at all, he saw it “on many sides”.

Is Jonathan crowd funding his sex change operation?
It's obvious he's been overdoing the hormone treatments. LOL!

The writing and exposition stands.
As a shining example of liberal hysteria.
Really?

You know, the pardoning of sheriff Arpaio this afternoon is only gonna embolden the white supremacists. Just watch, they are going to start holding more rallies and are going to get a bit bolder and even more violent.

David Duke is probably celebrating this moment.

No, what he said is that there were good people there protesting the removal of the statues. Not everyone who protest the removal of the statues was a white supremacist.

That's ridiculous.

Beware! There's a Nazi under your bed and a man in a white cloak in your closet. Sleep well little PJ. With one eye open. Sleep well.

Mwahahahahaaaaa.

Actually, it's the angry left that has done it.

We are animals, when challenged or threatened, we tend to fight.

The only ones that have "revived Nazism" are the left wing media.

Those KKK types have always been around, and ignored by the masses. But now suddenly the media is acting like it is a new thing and of course it's all Trump's fault.

How is Arpaio linked to white supremacists? Oh that's right, not at all.

I bet you had no problem with the Hussein pardoning Manning the traitor. Did that not embolden traitors?

By pardoning Sheriff Joe, Trump just sent a dog whistle to every law enforcement head in America that they need not concern themselves about violating the constitutional civil rights of Americans by racial profiling. All will be forgiven.

No...dipshit.....Arpaio was enforcing the law....and for that a left wing social justice warrior, dressed like a judge handed down a sentence without a jury trial.......moron.

9% of your fellow Americans agree with you on Nazism.

It's getting to where I am afraid to go anywhere that I don't have to for fear of violent liberals. Seriously.

You live in Texas, so the chances of that is slim to none... Harvey is scarier than a Texas leftist...

. Spreading lies. ^^^
Everyone knows the fine people" remark wasnt about the Klan. There was decent, principled citizens there who didn't want the statue removed. And there was decent, principled people there who wanted it removed. His "fine people" remark didn't include the thugs called AntiFart.

True.

Trump also sent a dog whistle to conservatives that his administration will continue to tolerate ignorance, hate, bigotry, and racism and that rightists are at liberty to practice their bigotry, racism, and hate with impunity.

If the ones he arrested are illegals, then they don't get civil rights of Americans, their not American.
So he's trying to do his job and arrest criminals but if you look like a law breaker he can't ask
