Zogby Analytics - Trump Leads in New Zogby Poll

265 LV (very small polling group for a national poll), MoE = unknown

Trump 20
Bush 16
Walker 12
Paul 9
Carson 7
Rubio 6
Huckabee 6
Cruz 5
Christie 3
Kasich 2
Jindal 2

Margin: Trump +4

It should be noted that Zogby was the first firm to do internet-only polling and experienced wild-swings in results from one poll of the same race to the next. Zogby does not release internals and is actually very secretive about what it does. In presidential cycles, Zogby does 3-day rolling polling starting about 1 month before the General election, with wild results.

Zogby, 11/4/2012: Romney +0.4
Zogby 11/5/2012: Romney +2
Zogby 11/6/2012: Obama +0.5

I am always extremely careful when handling a Zogby poll... because I think that primarily, they are still working out the bugs of doing internet-only polls. Until YouGov came along, Zogby was the only firm to do internet only-polls.

That being said, this Zogby looks very much in line with the other polls we have seen this last week, and an upper-tier of three candidates has formed: Trump, Bush and Walker, more often than not in that order. Paul is doing better in this poll than in others. Cruz is going nowhere. But then again, next month, this could all change yet again.

If you remember the 2012, it was like round robin, each republican would take the lead and then fall back. I think they all were in the lead at one point.

The establishment wrapped itself around mitt romney like they will around the rubio/bush cabal.

Funny thing is, if you look at his views apart from immigration, he could be labeled a socialist by some members of this site. Look at his views on healthcare, medicaid/medicare/social security, etc..
