True or False: Play Doh was invented to erase pollution?

Clearly it was invented as something kids could play with. It's so obvious. Invented because of pollution? Don't make me laugh.

It was devised at the request of Kroger Grocery, which wanted a product that could clean coal residue from wallpaper.[4]"

So , as with most things, the history of play doh isn't black and white. (See that pun I made there?)

Yea it was not originally supposed to be used for kids toys. But the guy who created it quickly realized he had something when he could knead it into any shape he wanted to.

Play doh was born.
