Three missing women found alive in Cleveland after 10 years

Apparently they were left alone long enough for one to call 9/11. [My comment]

Three women who went missing about a decade ago in Cleveland, Ohio, have been found alive in a house a few miles from where they disappeared.

Three brothers in their 50s, including one man who lived in the house, were arrested. One of the women frantically told a 911 dispatcher the person who had taken her was gone, and she pleaded for police officers to come and get her, saying, "I'm free now."

Cheering crowds gathered on the street near the home where police said Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michele Knight were found earlier in the day.

So very, very glad of the outcome!

A short time ago I read “I’m No Monster,” by Stefanie Marsh and Bohan Pancevski, which documented the case of Austrian Josef Fritzl.

As if the horror the three rescued girls wasn't enough, this freak, Fritzl, kidnapped his own daughter, and kept her in a dungeon for 24 years.....and had numerous children with her.

Looks like the psycho wanted to have his own harem. He could have moved to Saudi Arabia or another Muslim country where they allow men to have four wives, and they could be as young as 9 years old, in some of them.

I just hope they torture the asshole, then cut his dick off, and lock him up for good. There is no hope for his type.

Three brothers. Three women. Not exactly a harem although they probably shared a lot.
I don't think the brothers were as involved as the main guy Ariel who lived there. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved.

I think if they made it a mandatory sentence to have their genitals cut off as punishment, many of these child abduction and rape crimes will not be committed.

I'm sure the govt. doctors can come up with a pain free device using anesthesia and high tech precision.

I can tell you this, anyone does this to my family member, that's exactly what I will do.

I feel so sorry for these three women and my sympathy isn't easy to come by. I know what the liberal press is going to do to them to get these hispanic guys off.

To make things even worse, the man who helped rescue these women is black. I doubt he's prepared to become the kind of race traitor the liberal press is going to make of him.

You racist knuckleheads can take a hike.

Howie Carr played a couple of clips from the TV news broadcast that interviewed this dude, I think today's morning news. All I will say is: "Live TV can have some unintentionally-hilarious results!"

I heard today one of the captors sons wrote a paper on one of the girls his dad was holding in his home in college. It sounds to me as if the son knew about the hostages as well. Very sick individuals regardless.

You are the race traitor, Katz.

The overwhelming majiority of white Americans despise your thinking.

This is going to become heartbreaking. Amanda Berry is being reinvented as a racist. The three brothers were only acting within their culture by selecting their brides. The defense grounds are already being laid.

I feel so sorry for these women, who now have children of their rapes. The liberal press is going to have a field day destroying them.
your hatred is pAlpable. And sad. Today , much to your chagrin, all Americans are celebrating the return of these women to their families and crying a little over such a tragic loss of years

Katz you're making light of this, but this is a truly horrific story. The facts haven't come out yet, but no doubt it will probably be along the lines of daily raping and beating of these three girls, regularly fed scraps, tied up and locked in cold, dark rooms for over a decade and one of them gets pregnant and has the baby in the house. The baby now 6 years old probably never left the house until she finally escaped!

Horrific in every sense of the world!

The men actually beat the women into miscarriage when they got pregnant. Now, ordinarily, such treatment would be horrific but in today's terms isn't it really nothing more than abortion? If what Kermit Gosnell did to women can be considered medical treatment, why not beating women into miscarriage. If any babies were born, what happened to them? Sold on the baby market?

If these men are immigrants and likely they are, or even the latest heroes of the left, illegal immigrants, you can bet that support will be crawling out of the woodwork for them. Amanda Berry will be recreated as a racist who got mad at her mexican boyfriend.

The mexican american legal defense fund probably already has lawyers lining up to take this case.
Post a link to show they beat the women to cause miscarriages.

Diane Sawyer says he's a hero because he didn't walk away from the screaming woman. I guess being a hero gets easier all the time.

Katz would have run to put the woman back in the house and claim his reward, I would imagine.

That is just how sick emotionally is our Katzndogz.

Castro brothers arrested...

Cleveland officials hail bravery of missing women
7 May 2013 - Police have praised the bravery of three women found alive on Monday evening in a house in Cleveland, Ohio, after they vanished about a decade ago.
Amanda Berry, who disappeared in 2003 aged 16, escaped with a neighbour's help while her alleged captor was away. Gina DeJesus, who went missing aged 14 a year later, and Michelle Knight, who vanished in 2002 aged about 19, were also rescued from the property. A school bus driver and his two brothers have been arrested. The three women were taken to hospital for a check-up and to be reunited with their relatives before being discharged on Tuesday morning. A six-year-old girl also rescued from the house was believed to be the daughter of Ms Berry, Deputy Police Chief Ed Tomba told a news conference.

'Tied up'

FBI Special Agent Stephen Anthony said: "The nightmare is over. These three young ladies have provided us with the ultimate definition of survival and perseverance. The healing can now begin." "Yes, law enforcement professionals do cry," he added. He vowed prosecutors would "bring the full weight of justice" on those responsible in the "horrific case". School bus driver Ariel Castro, 52, and his two brothers, Pedro, 54, and Onil, 50, have been taken into custody.

Police Chief Michael McGrath said the women were believed to have been tied up at the house. Officials said they may also investigate other properties. Ms Berry, now 27, escaped on Monday evening when a neighbour heard her screaming and kicking a door, while her alleged captor was out of the house. Rescuer Charles Ramsey said he had helped kick in a metal door so that Ms Berry could climb outside and phone police. In a recording of Monday's emergency call, she says: "I've been kidnapped, and I've been missing for 10 years. And I'm here. I'm free now."

'Home seemed vacant'

Ms Berry identifies herself to the 911 dispatcher, saying she has been on the news for the past decade, and begging for help to arrive before her captor returns. Police Chief McGrath told Tuesday's news conference: "Thankfully, due to Amanda's brave actions these three women are alive today." Neighbour Anna Tejeda said she had refused to believe the young woman at first. "You're not Amanda Berry. Amanda Berry is dead," she said, according to the Associated Press news agency. Other neighbours in the working-class district said they did not realise anybody was living at the house at 2207 Seymour Ave.

Police facing questions in 3 women's Ohio rescue
7 May`13 — One neighbor says a naked woman was seen crawling on her hands and knees in the backyard of the house a few years ago. Another heard pounding on the home's doors and noticed plastic bags over the windows.
Both times, police showed up but never went inside, neighbors say. Police also paid a visit to the house in 2004, but no one answered the door. Now, after three women who vanished a decade ago were found captive Monday at the run-down house, Cleveland police are facing questions for the second time in four years about their handling of missing-person cases and are conducting an internal review to see if they overlooked anything. City Safety Director Martin Flask said Tuesday that investigators had no record of anyone calling about criminal activity at the house but were still checking police, fire and emergency databases.

The three women were rescued after one of them kicked out the bottom portion of a locked screen door and used a neighbor's telephone to call 911. "Help me. I'm Amanda Berry," she breathlessly told a dispatcher in a call that exhilarated and astonished much of the city. "I've been kidnapped, and I've been missing for 10 years and I'm, I'm here, I'm free now." Berry, 27, Michelle Knight, 32, and Gina DeJesus, about 23, had apparently been held captive in the house since their teens or early 20s, police Chief Michael McGrath said. Three brothers, ages 50 to 54, were arrested. One of them, former school bus driver Ariel Castro, owned the home, situated in a poor neighborhood dotted with boarded-up houses just south of downtown. No charges were filed.

A relative of the three brothers said their family was "totally shocked" after hearing about the missing women being found at the home. Juan Alicea said the arrests of his wife's brothers had left relatives "as blindsided as anyone else" in their community. He said he hadn't been to the home of his brother-in-law Ariel Castro since the early 1990s but had eaten dinner with Castro at a different brother's house shortly before the arrests were made Monday. A 6-year-old girl believed to be Berry's daughter also was found in the home, police Deputy Chief Ed Tomba said. He would not say who the father was. The women were reported by police to be in good health and were reunited with joyous family members but remained in seclusion.

In eastern Tennessee, Berry's father, Johnny Berry, told WJHL-TV that he spoke to her for the first time Monday night by phone at his home in Elizabethton. "She said, 'Hi, Daddy, I'm alive,'" Johnny Berry said. "She said, 'I love you, I love you, I love you,' and then we both started crying." Although Amanda Berry was born and raised in Cleveland, her father, grandparents and cousins live in Elizabethton. Before she disappeared, she often visited Tennessee during the summers. Family members said they visited her in Cleveland about three weeks before she went missing. The head of the FBI in Cleveland, Stephen Anthony, said the families' prayers for the missing women had been answered.
