Silly boy, his ways are not our ways. It's the Christian thing you apparently do not understand…The man in the story had faith, loads of it. How'd that work out for him? It's called Faith... Control freaks would not understandGod is not at work in all things? You put your trust in your fellow man and government, I'll put my trust elsewhere... LolAnd if the seat belt you didn't use could have saved your life, would that also be God's plan? All of those things should be a personal choice, just like mandatory insurance it's just legalized extortion. By the way, I never wear my seatbelt because I just don't want to simple as that. LOL
"I Sent You a Rowboat
A very religious man was once caught in rising floodwaters. He climbed onto the roof of his house and trusted God to rescue him. A neighbor came by in a canoe and said, “The waters will soon be above your house. Hop in and we’ll paddle to safety.”
“No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me”
A short time later the police came by in a boat. “The waters will soon be above your house. Hop in and we’ll take you to safety.”
“No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me”
A little time later a rescue services helicopter hovered overhead, let down a rope ladder and said. “The waters will soon be above your house. Climb the ladder and we’ll fly you to safety.”
“No thanks” replied the religious man. “I’ve prayed to God and I’m sure he will save me”
All this time the floodwaters continued to rise, until soon they reached above the roof and the religious man drowned. When he arrived at heaven he demanded an audience with God. Ushered into God’s throne room he said, “Lord, why am I here in heaven? I prayed for you to save me, I trusted you to save me from that flood.”
“Yes you did my child” replied the Lord. “And I sent you a canoe, a boat, and a helicopter. But you never got in.”
Your trust is the same as the man in the story. You reject the help God is offering because you want something Godlike? That would be testing God, I wouldn't go there.
Your child gets hit by a car. Do you pray to God to heal them and watch them die or do you rush them to the hospital first and then pray?
For a being who works in mysterious ways, you seem to know how He works better than He does?
