Is there anyone on this thread who can make a case for global warming mitigation measures, by telling us,

a) proof of the need for them,
b) what they would be, exactly,
c) how much they would cost - Not only in tax dollars, and forced purchases such as electric vehicles if manufacturers are forced to stop producting ICE vehicles, but also in lost opportunities, lost hope, and lost lives, if those measures slowed growth in developing nations, slowed innovation in developed nations, and slowed transportation of life-saving food, medicine, and equipment, and
d) by how many degrees will we reduce Earth's temperature if we take those steps in spite of the costs?

It seems to be factual.

Question is, “so what?”

When an industry is attacked by people with little knowledge of the industry, but influence out of proportion to that limited knowledge, it is natural for that industry to fight back.

For example, on a different topic, people who talk about banning “assault weapons” or “oversized clips” show extreme ignorance of firearms, combined with a desire to control people who are informed.


Smart consumers of information will be aware that whatever they are seeing is nearly always intended by someone to push some agenda.

Not smart consumers will believe as they choose as always. As with those melting glaciers, nothing will change willful ignorance, so why stress out about it?

Say that in English….oh you mean the ratio of the fires in the number of each on the road. Sure. Up to 5 to 1 times more likely to catch fire in an ICE car….that was easy bubba. The C in ICE stands for combustion. In reality, they are ALWAYS on fire internally and confining that combustion away from gasoline it uses to combust is harder than illiterates think. Want to compare the likelyhood of fires and explosions from the lead acid batteries in ICE cars also use for electricity ? They are driving time bombs.
