It is challenging to make a good living in a large city when you are unskilled and uneducated, and don't qualify for anything but a minimum wage job.

On top of that, if you are a single mother, you will have to pay for daycare everytime you leave the home to go to a job.

And earned income is taxed and welfare income is not taxed.

And a private job does not raise your pay if you have more children, but government welfare will.

I can't come up with the number of women this applies to, but your claim that this doesn't happen is bullshit. There are millions of single women on welfare, and they have a rational reason to accept welfare. Welfare is a trap, and once you're in, it's very difficult to leave.

If you cannot come up with the number....then yiu do not know how big of a problem it is. That being the case.....why is it so important to you? It's like you are being led around by the nose......and you are thinking that we incentivize sloth with our public assistance programs. There is no evidence to support that.
