People keep saying no one (Trump) is above the law, but Trump was treated in Kaplan's courtroom as beneath the law. It cannot be allowed to stand, equal justice means just that.

We can also observe that another piece of evidence not entered in this week's trial was -----well, it was what Trump said he could do because he was a celebrity. He could grab women "by the pussy" whenever he wanted.

Which, per testimony in the previous trial is exactly....exactly....what he did to Carroll, except it was more than just 'grab', he forcefully inserted his fingers into her.

Carroll’s entire character is one of bizarre sexual thoughts, antics, and actions. Another piece of evidence the judge refused to allow was that Carroll named her cat “Vagina” and posted repeatedly about anal sex, celebrity fantasies, and pornography.​

In fact, in 2012, Trump himself was the subject of one of these fantasies Carroll shared on her Facebook page: “Would you have sex with Donald Trump for $17,000?” before going on to suggest that in her fantasy scenario, Trump may not be able to speak. An odd thing to post for someone who alleges that the same man raped her less than two decades prior.​

Again, none of this was allowed to be heard by the jury that awarded Carroll nearly $85 million today, in addition to the $5.5 million another Manhattan jury already awarded her in her first case.​

Well, on the face of it, it surely doesn't appear that it was illegal.

I mean, there were properly filed complaints in an official court of law, appropriate pre-trial hearings, expensive & competent counsel on both sides, a long experienced judge on the bench for decades overseeing thousands of trials and hearings, and then and most likely the most important aspect....we had 18 individual local citizens and peers of the defendant in two separate jury boxes making two separate judgments; and each did it unanimously in just about 3hrs each (including lunch).

Golly, I ain't a lawyer but it sure has the appearance of legal proceeding. Also appears to be rather decisive (only 3 friggin' hours?)

It was likely more legal than some bloke slamming a woman into a wall, pulling down her tights, and ramming his fingers into her genitals. IMHO

The problem is that it is impossible to defend yourself from a decades old allegation of bad or illegal conduct. Especially when the complainant can’t recall even the year that the alleged event happen.

And the problem with AZ's dilemma, is that a decades old allegation of bad or illegal conduct.....should have been really really difficult for the plaintiff to convince juries totaling 18 individual people that her story was more true than the defendant's.

Yet, she did.
Now, did the defendant's admission on video that he could grab women by the genitals whenever he wished without their consent lend credibility to the plaintiff's argument that that is exactly what he did......well, was that persuasive to those 5 women and 13 men on those two juries?

I don't know for sure, but could be persuaded that that was not irrelevant.
