The rise of fascism, nationalism and populism today

I wonder if Republicans are getting ready to use "fascism" to label Democrats, rather than communists? The Republicans have certainly gotten their money's worth out of Marx's socialism and communism, but maybe it's time for a new fresh label. Do Republicans vote on these names?
