The problem in America and axis of democracy is not capitalism, but dictatorship

Would you like to see "AGAINST" option in all US elections?

The post here by my friend georgephilip titled “capitalism guarantees rising inequality” having 4000+ posts reflects the political circus on the establishment media where the two sides can argue indefinitely while behind the scenes someone else controls them. If we are to believe for example that in the latest US/EU approved elections in Ukraine people democratically and willingly elected another billionaire, then we deserve no better faith ourselves. When given a chance, over 90% of population voted in a referendum in parts of Ukraine, (bigger turn out than any US/EU or Ukrainian presidential elections) and people overwhelmingly voted AGAINST the political circus that our media calls democracy, in which only option is to vote FOR politicians and not against.

Since most here are Americans, let’s get back to America: If Obama would have been the actual leader and not a puppet of a dictatorship, like Bush he could have then kept his promises to the people. promises about pulling out troops from Iraq/Afghanistan, promises to meet Syrian/Venezuelan/Cuban/Iranian leaders – But instead, Venezuelan leader has been poisoned, Syrian leader has been demonized, Libyan leader has been murdered, And the puppet circus is making fun of health care by presenting us a joke they call Obama care.

If people in America would have had democracy, they would never have allowed for their nation to be sold out to the point where they now have to pay every month for telephone “service”, internet “service”, television “service”, property tax, all to feed oligarchs who never worked a day in their lives. In a democracy people would have had the option to vote AGAINST the politicians, because when all you can do is vote FOR the politicians, then all the dictatorship has to do is place a few of their own friends as candidates, and call them opposition.

As for my friend georgephilip who thinks capitalism guarantees rising inequality, maybe you can tell me what socialism guarantees? I have lived in Soviet Union, which was called socialism, and the only thing that was guaranteed if you spoke out against that system was imprisonment. Now I do not know how strict it was under Adolf Hitler, and how much what about national socialist Germany was true, but I DO know that USSR and USA has been controlled by the same puppet masters, designed to bounce us back and forth. And perhaps make us feel guilty of seeking capitalism, when in fact USSR was not real socialism itself, but a dictatorship. And today political stooges who write history will claim that Joseph Stalin robed banks to fund his socialist revolution (what a hero), but in reality with a little bit of research it is OBVIOUS that Stalin/Lenin’s Ukraine style revolution was actually backed by international bankers (no need to rob banks)...we have been brainwashed, and until we become as one, we are rightfully screwed, and I will even enjoy watching my fellow countrymen, my friends, and others suffer for their ignorance. ignorance is crime. And every time I hear America being called a free or democratic country, I am offended.

The notion that this would have any impact at all is absurd. As is the claim that the US is a dictatorship.

We are not a democracy. We are a republic. We elect people to represent us and the very fact that we vote for people who are trying to get elected guarantees that our elected officials are only going to care about getting elected. If you wish to throw away your vote by some meaningless "anti-vote" that will be fine with the person you are unvoting for. Because all that counts is the number of votes garnered, not the number of negatives.

Capitalism does guarantee inequality. Any system based upon an economic principle is going to guarantee inequality. Capitalism, socialism, fascism, communism all end up in exactly the same place. The problem with purist systems is that they begin with a fallacy - that human beings do not exist. Human beings do exist and they are going to act in their own self interest no matter what system you put in place. All systems will be flawed because they are all run by human beings.

Very true, the worst people who hunger for power for personal aggrandizement and gain always find their way to the top of any hierarchy, there is no preventing it because we are wired to live that way in large groups. Any given system can be fair and good if only authoritarian psychopaths did not seem so appealing to the bulk of humanity for their cold decisiveness.

We aren't a democracy. And we aren't a dictatorship yet.

Obama wants to be one though

It goes further than that. We make the process of becoming elected so grueling, expensive and personally exposing that no one who did not desire power over all else would dream of putting themselves and their families through it. Its not that we prefer them, we make them our only choice.

It is PRECISELY the ‘against’ option that is destroying our nation. That is how politicians are elected right now – with votes going to one or the other solely because they are voting against the opposition.

simply idiotic.
both sides have substantive disagreements on policy and ideology

to dismiss everybody as only voting against things for the sake of being against what the other side wants is just a cheap shot meant to stifle debate

Even worse is when those people who are in power hide behind the puppets, because then they can really stay in power for prolonged period of time and degrade humanity making it believe that IT IS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE for all that it is in fact not, as is exactly the case in America, and if you like most want to argue this fact, then pleas begin with explaining how is it that your presidents promise one thing to the voters then do another thing when elected, such as Obama promising to meet Syrian president, ended up fighting condemning Syrian president and inviting Saudi king to the white house who sent death row inmates to fight Syrian people, Bush promising no nation building to the people to get elected, then ended up building nations in Iraq and Afghanistan. You want to blame the people and that is low, because I feel betrayed and you want to blame me, the former voter.

This is very twisted logic, opposite of what you say is true: people vote for the opposite, they vote AGAINST, EXACTLY, BUT THE ONLY WAY they can vote against the puppet is to vote FOR ANOTHER FRAUD. If they could vote AGAINST, then neither democrat nor republican party has any chance to win what so ever, because masses already know who they are and what they can do.

No, its not. the bigger debate is who and why to vote for them. Pointing out the reality that many people already cast votes against rather than for is NOT shutting down debate. The reality is clear though throughout these boards. I never used the qualifier 'everybody.' That is your black and white view coming out.

YOU might have reasons but the majority here show time and time again that they are voting against rather than for anyone. When I asked for reasons to vote for Romney do you think I got a list of Romney's positions? No, I did not. Instead I was told that the nation simply could not take another Obama presidency. i was told all the terrible things that Obama stood for and passed. Then, when I pointed out that there were great reasons for not voting Obama but not reasons to vote Romney, I was declared a defacto Obama supporter solely because I did not vote Romney.

The other side is no different. The left is mad at Obama, he does not embody what they thought yet they will vote for him. Why? Because the right is full of 'nutters' and are 'insane.' Just ask them. They crone all the time here about how crazy they are and how they cannot allow them any place in government.

That is the mentality that exists all over the place. J8ust because you are blind to it does not mean it is not there or that it is not pervasive. Open your eyes.

So all leaders now need to meet a "psychopathic" standard?

I find it very interesting that people are surprised that people elect stupid politicians while they themselves are against allowing voters to vote AGAINST stupid politicians. Perhaps people are stupid for not knowing which alternative to vote for outside of the establishment media? and perhaps people are guilty that all the independent parties can not unite and that their numbers are so large?
Perhaps easier than to answer this question is to go and continue insulting each other left vs. right.

The whole concept of a republican form of government is that you have a select group of people who are allowed to vote. We have requirements here in the United States as determined by the states, as per the Constitution of the United States.

Why don't we have all poll workers give each voter who comes a good firm tap on the head, so that after they finishing seeing a few stars, they have a real great chance of coming to their true senses?
