I had a CRT Am Hist prof in comm college say this about whites and slaves. I said, 'I thought black people kept slaves, too?'

'When they captured them they treated them like family though.'

Later, as an aside, he was telling us that Egyptians were black. Ha ha ha. So...the pyramids were just built by a giant, lovely family I guess. At least, according to him.

Yeah, but Black folks had nothing to do with the founding fathers condoning/encouraging slavery and hatred in the Constitution, no matter how conservatives try to explain slavery, denying women the vote, etc.

This seems to be a reoccuring theme... that is, people complaining about people who are running away getting shot in the back. What 99% of people dont realize its ITS TOTALLY LEGAL! If you committed a felony and the officer believes you are a danger to him or the public, he can shoot you in the back. You cant attacka cop and then when the officer starts winning the fight and he gets his gun out, you cant just turn your back and say "im off limits now, my back is to you". It doesnt work that way, nor should it. It isnt a fucking playground and it isnt a game.

When you commit big boy crimes, expect a big boy response.

85% of white homicides are by whites. Besides, we are talking police killings. I can assure you 91% of Blacks shot by police are not killed by Black police.

You do know that blacks were given the right to vote before women were. My question to you is why use todays standards on practices that happened hundreds of years ago?

We don't really know how many shots Wilson took because the police aren't releasing anything -- like shell casing number and location -- to avoid getting caught in an obvious lie. Well, they are releasing stuff on Brown, but not Wilson. The CNN tape -- for whatever it is worth -- is the only thing we have regarding shots, and folks count 10 or so on that tape.

I question whether any shots were necessary. But I know some folks hate to miss an "opportunity" to shoot someone, especially a minority.

It wasnt a toy sword. It was a real metal sword, but it was decorative, so the edges are rounded off so it isnt sharp. My buddy has a few swords like that, and if you think you cant kill someone with a single swing, you are wrong. Im certain I could take off someones head with one of those swords.
