THE MOST DANGEROUS ADDICTION OF THEM ALL: ENTITLEMENTS

The addiction the Left loves to exploit.

All addictions — whether to drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex or cigarettes — are very hard to escape.

There is one addiction, however, that may be more difficult than any other to escape, in part because it is not even regarded as an addiction. It is entitlements addiction, the addiction to getting something for nothing.

One indication as to the power of entitlements addiction is the fact that while great numbers of people have voluntarily given up drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc. — almost always at great pain — few give up an addiction to entitlements. For the majority of able-bodied people who get cash payments, food stamps, subsidized housing, free or subsidized health insurance, and other welfare benefits, the thought of giving up any one of those and beginning to pay for them with their own earned money is as hard as giving up alcohol is for an alcoholic.

Politicians know this, which is why it is close to impossible to ever reduce entitlements. And, of course, the left knows this, which is why the left almost always wins a debate over entitlements. Every American who is the beneficiary of an entitlement backs them, and many who are not beneficiaries of entitlements would like to be.

Aside from ideology, this is why the left constantly seeks to increase entitlements. The more people receiving government benefits, the more people vote left.

Actually, greed is the most dangerous addiction. Another FrontPage Mag fail.

You know what the real most dangerous addiction? The rich thinking they can control the other 95% of society. This must end.
You must be one of them ticks...
Steps for Removing a Tick
  • Step 1: Put on your gloves. ...
  • Step 2: Steady addicted persons(Matthew/Lakhota) and keep them calm. ...
  • Step 3: Position your tweezers.
  • Voice over: Take a pair of tweezers—pointy ones work best—and grab hold of the tick as close to the teet as possible.
  • Step 4: Pull out the tick.

There is a rule in US politics. An entitlement is a lot harder to repeal than it is to pass.

Socialism is the cancer that destroys individuality and any sort of freedom… Fact

You know what the real most dangerous addiction? The rich thinking they can control the other 95% of society. This must end.
You know another dangerous addiction? Politicians sucking up to their rich contributors so they can keep their jobs, so they can continue to rob taxpayers so they can keep feeding the addiction of recipients of public payoffs.

Easier method involves cutting off their oxygen, or burning them off.

The only way we're going to ever be great again as a nation is to educate our poor and to induce strong anti-trust laws to allow for them to move upwards.
Is that education free? Oh, and who gets to decide what constitutes "education"? Seems like the lefties have managed to coopt "education" and substitute indoctrination. It's not working so well for greatness.

I totally agree.

Why give up welfare and get a job??

Why pay for anything when the taxpayers are forced to pay you're way for you??

Why worry about medical treatment for you and you're kids when someone else is forced to pay for it??

Why worry about putting food on the table for you and you're illegitimate kids when we taxpayers are forced to do so??

Hell. Why get a job when you don't have to and have no incentive to do so??

As with those with an addiction, what is needed is an intervention.

That means states need to rise up and amend the Constitution via the Article V movement. A federal balanced budget amendment is what is needed and sorely lacking after the Feds gave themselves a Federal Income tax to empower them and a Fed to simply print money for money they can't raise.

Otherwise, prepare for insolvency and the destruction of the Republic, which I think those that hate the Constitution really want anyway.

A bigger risk is an intellectual/emotional commitment to a hardcore partisan political ideology.

It creates tunnel vision and effectively eliminates many options when dealing with problems. You can't consider many good options because they're not allowed in your little world.

Like an artist trying to paint a vivid landscape with only half a palette, you're hurting yourself, and the people you're supposedly trying to help.

We're seeing than manifest right now.

Everyone in this country is free to make something of themselves.

If you don't want to support the rich then purchase as little as you can that they produce and utilize the money you save to make investments to enrich yourself.

If a person chooses to spend all their money on the latest entertainment and gadgets instead of the necessities and attempting to build something for themselves that is a choice they make.

Not when you're illegally importing several million of them a year to add to the millions who were born here who basically refuse to become educated, much less work and attempt to make a living, because they all think they should have a desk job even if they can't write or do simple math.
