May the Good Lord take a liking to ya!
can we talk about the history of Ireland?
tragic …. and true ….The history of Ireland is that the British treated them worse than dogs.
So they moved to America to get away from the British.
And found work in the mines.
Owned by the British.
Who again treated them like dogs.
Well I'd sure as hell hate to be on His bad side.
what about the famine?
the famine may not have been "genocide", though the irish are not considered fully human by upper class brits.one could speak of a genocide!
the potatoes failed, but other crops could have fed the irish, but could be sold more profitably elsewhere . "business as usual" for any capitalist.
how could they …. when they had nothing? What about it? The Brits were getting better prices for their grain on the Continent, so that's where they exported it.
No evidence of the Irish ever caring about famines in Europe and donating anything to others in need.
for capitalists in 1848 … maybethe famine may not have been "genocide", though the irish are not considered fully human by upper class brits.
