The “Finest Hour” speech by the finest leader of the 20th Century



Listening to this great man speak compared to the Brits who post here now I can only wonder what happened to the once great people who won WWII?

One of the greats. Like many of the greats he had an ego, but, it could be reigned in if he was advised by someone he respected as an intellectual equal or peer. He wisely didn't look for any peace deal. The same can't be said for some in the monarchy. The future queen was NOT one such appeaser either.

Those are the exact same words I was going to write

Churchhill saved the western democracies

I grew up idolizing the Brits

And Winston Churchill was at the top of the list
