the EU, Japan and China working closer than ever

EU leaders coming to China, Japan to counter U.S. protectionism

"This agreement will create an open trade zone covering nearly a third of the world's GDP," Schinas added.

And the US is left out in the cold because Trump took his ball and went home.
I thought they wanted a global market. there you go. what is your issue now?

The issue is that the US will be left out of these agreements. The issue now is that economic isolationism is not good for a country and will only kill an economy, not make it stronger.

how you figure? they all need us. you are just to stupid to realize it.

the EU president is coming here sometime this week....at least thats what the news claimed.....

If he does, I bet he does not leave with a signed trade deal.

It will just be more of the same, Trump whining about how unfair the world is to the US and then he will talk about fake news and the EU guy will go home wondering why he just wasted his time talking to a reality TV star.
and so what if those trade deals are unfair to this country?...what would you do?....

Fair is a child's concept, it does not exist in the real world. The problem with "fair" is that it is in the eye of the beholder, thus it holds no true meaning.

What we want are trade deals that are mutually beneficial.

We are sitting at 4% unemployment with more jobs than people to fill them. We are 108 months into the 2nd longest period of economic expansion in the history of the country with consumer confidence at an all time high, or close to it.

We export 4 times as much manufactured goods as we did just 20 years ago and in 2015 we had a trade surplus of manufactured goods with the rest of the world.

All of those things would indicate to me that our trade deals have been beneficial to this country.
so as long as they are beneficial they dont have to be fair to us....is that what you are saying?....why should the other countries get more out of it then we do?.....why cant the deals affect both countries fairly evenly?....

I am saying that fair does not exist. Fair is a fairy tale we tell our kids to make them feel better.

Who judges "fairness". Is if fair that the US dairy farmers get 70% of their income from government subsidies? Our government seems to think so, but others do not.

What other country is sitting at 4% unemployment with more jobs than people to fill them. What other country is 108 months into a period of economic expansion?

How do you determine who is "getting more"?

They come here because we make it beneficial for them to do so. Take that away and they will not come.

Give me some hard, concrete facts and figures on why the world needs us.

Hillary threw TPP under the bus too. But Trump's stock issue is resentment and people's feelings of being left behind economically.

The UK Brexit vote was similarly propelled. But without immigration and terrorism, the vote may have been different, and even if Putin swung only .5 of 1% .... it was a close vote.

China has 1.3 billion people for the EU and other nations to sell things to.

Japan has 127 million and the EU has 508 million people in their union, so that is more than twice what we have to offer.

Not to mention the rest of Asia and South America.

The TPP was not a good deal, but someone that knows how to actually negotiate would have done so vice just walking away from it.

But yes, Trump did use the resentment and the ignorance of people to bring home the victory.

The year before the election we as a country had a trade surplus of manufactured goods yet we have been sold a bill of goods that all manufacturing has left the building!

China steals ideas from the whole world. But thanks for changing the topic, your attempt at diversion is a clear sign you have nothing but being a parrot.
