The DNC attack on Limbaugh may backfire.

I note that the Chairman of the RNC who had originally dismissed Rush as not a spokeman of the Republican party, had to cozy up to him after (apparently) he heard from enough Rush supporters.

Now Rush got what he wanted...more influence over the heart an soul Republican party.

And the Dems got what they wanted, too.

Rush becomes an even more recognizable official spokeman for the platform of the Republican Party.

So there it is, for those of you still affiliated with the Republican Party.

Rush speaks for you.

He is your plentipotenary without a portfolio.

Everyone's happy, I suppose, except those Republicans who do NOT THINK that what Rush wants the Republican party to become, is what they want their party to become.

Why do you think Rush has never run for office, despite being asked many, many, many, many times to do so?

He has more control where he is, and he always has. He is on a mission to educate people, and he does it best from right where he's at. He wouldn't have been able to accomplish 1/2 as much in office.

And the Republican majority want a more conservative Republican Party. That's why so many people listen to Rush. He isn't extreme at all, he can't be with that many listeners. Get over it. People AGREE WITH HIM.

How does having a huge audience prove one is not an extremist ... it's typically the opposite based on historical evidence. Obama has a huge audience to ... so by that logic Obama isn't an extremist either.
 
The democratic party should leave Limbaugh alone as he exemplifies the conservative republican party today, all he can do is say No to helping fellow Americans while he makes over 30 million dollars a year, drinks expensive French wine, buys exotic foreign cars, and smokes expensive foreign cigars. Add to that a hypocritical drug abuser and a man of multiple divorces and you have a really wonderful role model! A regular man of the people.

After playing a clip in which Limbaugh incorrectly attributed a quote from to the Constitution (it was from the Declaration of Independence), Hall touted the error to Melber, who is also a Democratic strategist. She quizzed, “So, Ari, Rush thought he was quoting the Constitution. It was the Declaration of Independence. How embarrassing is that for him, especially the way he slammed the President?” Of course, Melber helpfully piled on. He derided, “Well, this is the problem for Rush Limbaugh. Let me state this, I'm an Independent. Democrats, and Republicans have both lost their way with the people they're suppose to be representing. Both parties have gone too far to the left. Rush is preaching "CONSERVATISM". He's not towing the line for any party. he just wants us to get back to conservative values. This I think, is what Obama fears the most. I just don't understand how blinded the left have become on the reality of where this president is taking us. Maybe they do understand...but, it won't be the America we all grew up in. We will no longer afford to be the super power we are today.

Yes Dems tax and spend. That's because you got to pay for what you buy. You don't realize Bush borrowed all of the Iraq war from China. And we should have never invaded anyways.

Do you think running a country is free? Did you really think the GOP would not spend? The broke pork records in 06 and 07. And they did all this while giving rich people tax breaks. So the burden falls more on you/your grandkids.

So you don't like Dems spend on welfare but you let the GOP bankrupt the treasury on war spending/defense spending? Forget half of that spending that is for our safety. What about the other half that the GOP squandered?

Secondly, an extremist isn't a minority ... though it can be. You are confusing your terms here. Extremists believe in "black and white", there there is only one right and one wrong way to do things, and their way is always the right way no matter how wrong they are. Typical extremists never back down, even when proven wrong, and do not admit any mistakes, even when they are obvious, though some will occasionally correct themselves to save face. Most extremists do not use logic, but instead will often side with dogma and political groups in place of using their own minds and breaking away from the crowd. Extremist leaders tend to be the loudest and most well spoken, even when being insulting, and almost always have a large following based on historical evidence (Adolf H. for the example I know best). This does not mean that ALL popular people are extremists, but that your logic for using it as proof that Rush is not an extremist falls flat.
