Now a resident of a Red state! Hallelujah!
Our Dims very belatedly see that there is an urgent and pressing need to protect the border.

But — alas — word is that they are not really concerned with OUR border.

We may find out a bit more when the Senate proponents of the proposed immigration bill actually allow it to be seen by the American people.

The Dems are going to change all the vernacular to assume MORE of an invasion, while BS'ing us all into believing the opposite.....and then blame Trump for anyone smart enough to pick it on out...~S~

Still, nobody seen a copy of it, yet?

not close enough to election time W6

You may have something there, Sparky.
Still, I cannot argue with something, without seeing what is actually in it. At the same time, you won't hear me arguing for it, at least other than it should be read and considered. They have to put something out, or it is much ado about nothing on either side.

They don’t give a fuck, they want the optics of passing something called an immigration bill that they can load up all kinds of unrelated spending on.
Like the Green New Deal funding that went to a bankrupt company who canceled the off shore wind project in the northeast and the Infrastructure funding that was redirected to Ukraine and gender studies in Pakistan. Democrats will say anything. Words have no meaning to them.

Just leaks.
No leaks, but selective teasers, as if the devil wasn't in the detail, put out to shape the agenda or mindset of those that simply do not know. Nobody knows, because they would like it passed without knowing.
I can understand selling the sizzle, but Hey, Where's the beef?

They don't really want a solution. They are happy with the status quo, always has been.

The Dims know that without doing anything, they will suffer in the polls. So, they offer something they know won't fix anything and the GOP will never go for, and then blame Trump for it not being passed even though he does not even hold office, all for the rubes for the next election

Easy Peasy.

There's no need to argue.

Just put back in place everything that was in place when the potato was elected.

THEN and ONLY THEN should any "negotiations" take place on a bill.

We will see what their definition of strong is.

To me strong would be......

Immigrants must hold employment at a full time job for their first 5 years with no gaps beyond 2 weeks or citizenship is revoked. Unless they are 65 and older but get no social security and be independently wealthy enough to provide for themselves or live with a us citizen

They are unable to vote in any elections for their first 5 years.

Their first 5 years 1 misdemeanor charge is allowed and that's it or citizenship is revoked

They are not allowed to have dual citizenship.

They must fluently speak, read and write English.

Say the pledge of allegiance from memory and swear to conform to American society and hold this country and standards up.

Have no criminal background from their home.

Pay 5,000 per person as a fee.

Illegible for any type of government assistance for 5 years.

Unable to own a firearm for 5 years.

No anchor babies allowed.

That's a solid start to me and would help assure we only allow in people who show they can be an asset to this country and it's society.

I'm all for immigrants but if they can't be Americans and love America, and can't have a value to our country then they don't belong here.

The bill contains just what you MAGATS have been crying over.

Eat a shit sandwich as you read the bill.

Interestingly, a great deal of our national attention (perhaps a short attention span or perhaps a manipulation by our apparatchik left wing media) on IMMIGRATION has simmered down.

The absurd Senate proposal died in the womb.

Potato rattled his sabre against fellow Americans — giving a one day ultimatum — and lo and behold, did nothing.

But today we see a fascinating new report on a stat about which Potato ought to be feeling pure humiliation:

In the three years of his regime, we have had almost 7.5 new illegal immigrants in our land. And those are just the ones we acknowledge.

The average is 2.5 illegal aliens her per year since Potato’s first days in office — not counting the fact that THIS year promises to yield a new bumper crop record.

Mayorkas deserved to get impeached even though there is no chance of a Senate Trial at all. But Potato needs the same treatment. He ought to be impeached for his vile determination to have caused this mess.
