In the nearly 21 years I spent as an IT contractor in DC, I saw mess after mess created in software code by mostly just neglect. It is difficult to explain to bureaucrats why you need to spend a couple of weeks down time purging the code of old outdated code that is nothing more than bloat. But it was a recurring problem along with the infamous "spaghetti code" and what not that builds up over DECADES as requirements change and the organization of the code along with it.

So what eventually happens is that these "Beltway Bandits" who should have known better, wind up calling in hot shots like me or other guys with like 30 years of experience, who charge $80+ an hour and who do not sit around and take bullshit. They come in, review the code, discuss it with existing software engineers and then set people to tasks. They dont fuck around, everyone hates them, they admit that they are ass holes and they get the fucking job done.

Trump will get the fucking job done, he will ruffle a lot of feathers doing it, but we need the job to get done.
