"The Democratic Party left me behind — and I'm not alone"

So is the OP saying some white people mad because they don't feel their party is white enough?
The op said nothing racist....But YOU did.

Oh did he now. What was it?

Hard to believe how many wags waddle around here oblivious to what the word racism means, yet it doesn't even slow 'em down....

He referred to a group of people by skin color and did it in a lying, derogatory manner.

Wrong. Thanks for proving my point.

Sorry, you are wrong, I was replying to this...

"So is the OP saying some white people mad because they don't feel their party is white enough?"

The OP said nothing of the sort so that was a lie and the allegation that white people don't feel their party is 'white enough' is....RACIST!!!!

It's not worth trying to reason with them, they're so brainwashed by the wolf criers that they don't even know what real racism looks like anymore...

This means nothing when the huge majority of indies vote big red.

Not true. Sometimes with ROTTEN CHOICES --- they don't vote. Not gonna reward the evil behavior of party politics. And there's no real leaning to GOP. This segment includes anarchists, socialist dreamers, disenfranchised Bernie voters and folks who get nauseous just discussing retail politics. They're waiting for candidates that make politics palatable.

Again ---------- NOPE. That ain't what racism means. I know exactly what you were quoting.

Racism is the belief that one race is superior/inferior to another. Has nothing to do with "how many" are here or there.

As I said --- learn your terms before you misuse them.

And FWIW I read the same idea out of the OP. Which said:

It's certainly at least left the white population behind.

Hard to interpret it any other way, isn't it.

OK sorry, didn't mean to misquote. My bad.

Ever watch the movie Idiocracy? We're almost there with Trump. Palatable can be many things. HOPEFULLY it doesn't just mean stimulating or entertaining.

It's certainly at least left the white population behind.

I’m no Trump supporter, but I’ve been repulsed by the political and cultural left’s hatred, demonization and mistreatment of the president.

I am a Democrat who has spent the last two years often criticizing my own party and fellow Democrats.

Yeah, I’m a bad Democrat, I know.

I have friends and readers asking me, “Are you still a liberal?” and “Have you changed parties?” and “Why are you seemingly defending Trump?”

I’ve been a loyal Democrat for about 15 years. As someone who became a citizen in 2006, I became a Democrat during the George W. Bush years, because I liked the party’s anti-war, pro-minority, pro-environment, pro-little guy positions.

But the 2016 election was an eye-opener for me. To use the current political jargon, I became “woke,” in some very different ways, and I got “red-pilled.”

The Democratic Party left me behind — and I'm not alone

So the republic party of 2018 is just a white identity one...which you identify with.

Nice try but no, you are wrong. The poster I was replying to made derogatory statements that some 'whites' thought the party was not 'white enough.' For you to translate that into 'how many' is ludicrous and an obvious attempt to obfuscate and lie. Then you make pompous, arrogant, 'group-think' statements like I need to 'learn' the acceptable 'terms.' Apparently you can't comprehend your own stupidity.

Yeah and hopefully it doesn't mean another racist like Obama either. He was an entertainer of the left and a neighborhood organizer with absolutely 0 experience in world affairs and hated America to boot.

All this inane verbiage just to avoid admitting you fucked up?

No worries.

To the quoted topic though; Alaska has tons of independents, who vote third party. Heck our current RINO Murkoski actually wanted to run ... libertarian (if I recall right, it might have been independent, a while back) but the R's in power stacked the system against that so she stayed R to win... She always gets just over about 1/3 of the vote and wins heh

But only you say that....Mr. Pompous.

Murkowski ran as a write-in after she got bumped in the primary. Only the second person to win a Senate seat as a write-in. The first was Strom Thurmond after the Democrats booted him off the ballot in 1954.

Now the Democratic Party isn't quite taking over and have also lost public support, demographics are working their way for the future.

Which means millennials are not becoming hardcore Democrats, and Democrats are now fucked.

Which means millennials --- and people in general --- are not seeing a reason to affiliate with a political party.

Nor should they.

Which is what I said from the beginning. Again -- cherrypick all you like if it makes you feel better but there it is, isn't it.

That is bad for Democrats.

Democrats rely on centralized party power for everything, while Republicans have had to deal with independents for decades.
