It's clear. We need to license hammers. It's just to easy to get them.

PA Luty ... a Brit so incensed by his own government when they stripped Britons of their guns that he published and distributed the 'Expedient Homemade Firearms Manual'. (available on Amazon and other online sources)

Expedient Homemade Firearms: The 9mm Submachine Gun: P.A. Luty: 9780873649834: Amazon.com: Books

The manual contained plans, templates, and instructions for the manufacture of fully automatic firearms with common shop tools and easily obtainable materials.

Mr Luty was arrested five times in ten years for lengthy periods but never convicted of a single crime. Mr. Luty passed from cancer in 2011 but his plans and designs are more available now than ever and have been made in the tens of thousands.

Firearms are great provided the law backs you up on when using them. If you use firearms illegally, you are no better than the criminal as far as the law is concerned.

I live in Ohio and have my CCW. Our laws support the legal carrier in the event of needed deadly force. However even if my license were acceptable in places like New York or California, I would be scared to use deadly force because those states look down on citizens defending themselves.

From a legal standpoint, guns are only as good as the laws that support your use of them. If the laws do not support using your firearm, you can land up in prison just like a criminal robbing a convenience store.

Tell that to these guys ...

When citizens are stripped of their rights extra-judicially ... what use is the judiciary?

Does New Jersey (I think) still have that law you can't even carry it in your vehicle?

Garbage guns still do the trick .

Poor confused, uninformed Timmy....
Timmy never understood that the 2nd Amendment in the US is NOT about defending oneself......it is about defending ones NATION and FREEDOM.

I guess the UK will have to become the next Venezuela before he gets it. Shame.

Not sure of their laws, but I would fear using a gun in any of those states. The Supreme Court ruled that all states must have a carry program, but they didn't say specifically what had to be involved. John Stossel has a video out there of him trying to get a CCW in New York city. He spent hundreds of dollars and had to wait months only to be refused a permit.

NIce, France.....89 killed, over 400 wounded......with a rental Truck...more killed and wounded than any attack with a gun.

Hammers? No, they are using vehicles now. Should we outlaw cars and trucks next?

Cars are regulated .

And they are not designed to kill people.

Who said anything about outlawing guns ?

Guns are regulated.

Guns are designed to save the life of the user.

Every democrat in public office.....one law at a time....

Well...Britain banned guns....their gun crime went up......didn't exactly work out your way....

Gun crime in London increases by 42% - BBC News

Gun crime offences in London surged by 42% in the last year, according to official statistics.
The Met Police's figures showed there were 2,544 gun crime offences from April 2016 to April 2017 compared to 1,793 offences from 2015 until 2016.
Knife crime also increased by 24% with 12,074 recorded offences from 2016 to 2017.

And making sure you people can't defend themselves...made sure they would be victims of thugs....

Violent crime on the rise in every corner of the country, figures suggest

But analysis of the figures force by force, showed the full extent of the problem, with only one constabulary, Nottinghamshire, recording a reduction in violent offences.

The vast majority of police forces actually witnessed double digit rises in violent crime, with Northumbria posting a 95 per cent increase year on year.

Of the other forces, Durham Police recorded a 73 per cent rise; West Yorkshire was up 48 per cent; Avon and Somerset 45 per cent; Dorset 39 per cent and Warwickshire 37 per cent.

Elsewhere Humberside, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Wiltshire and Dyfed Powys all saw violence rise by more than a quarter year on year.

What good is their "semi autos" when everyone else is carrying them? A firearm is the ultimate equalizer. Give an NFL linebacker a hammer and a 115lbs woman a hammer, and the woman will die every time. Give them both firearms and the woman is instantly equal to that NFL linebacker.

There's a reason these atacks don't happen in the U.S. The terrorists know they will be shot and killed within seconds.
