If The Native Americans don't want be known by everybody else as wearing feathers on their heads and calling themselves Seminoles, and Apaches and Sioux, and Cherokees and Choctaw...
They shouldn't have made that kind of a presence infront of everybody else.
If a depiction of what they look like to everybody else is offensive to them... maybe they shouldn't exist...
Because everybody is visible, and people record things and make depictions... i'm sure that Africa has caricaturized Europeans before, and I know that the native americans have.

And the difference between the NFL and High School, is that Most High Schools are a governmental institution and are therefore answerable to politicians who want to get elected.
The NFL is a private, for profit, free market, capitalist business, where people earn a living, not affiliated with the Government... where they are open to competition, private ownership, profits, etc...
There they have the freedom of speech and the press, and to organize.
