The Bible, the only way to heaven

The post where she said anyone who believed the Bible was a zealot, dear. I already quoted it and colored it.

I never said that.

Are you drinking and posting again? Cause now you've gone into pathological mode.

Friends don't let friends post drunk, hon...

step away from the keyboard before you hurt yourself.

Kinda sucks when people attribute quotes when you know you've never made such a statement, eh?

OK you admit the New testament contradicts the Old on the number of deaths.

There is no contradiction and the Bible never contradicts itself, you just have a poor understanding of the scriptures, even worse than Shogun's.

Lets move on to the "eternal torments." To be "tormented" eternally implies an eternal AWARENESS and again confirms the Satanic offer is for something we already have, eternal life! .... Of torment maybe, but eternal life none the less and not a "second death."

More lack of understanding, this happens when one doesn't read the scriptures with understanding and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

How do you expect my "lack of understanding" to be overcome if you don't post an explanation???
You do know it is no accident we are here at this time, don't you????

What scripture says we will be AWARE of torment for eternity in hell?

"Heretic" is what the pharisees used to marginalize (and ultimately kill) those who disagreed with them.

You use "zealot". And apparently "drunk". Like anyone who disagrees with you has something wrong with THEM. What a hoot. You are following the Columbine thread, right? You might take a peek at the article about the personality traits of the killers. Namely that they were superior to all.

If everyone follows the guide lines and commandments that the Bible puts forth they will have eternal life, why anyone would go against it and or put it down as a worthless religious book is beyond explanation. A lot of you people who are against the message of the Bible[you can be against Christianity all you like, thats man-made] most likely have not red the Bible in detail with the inspiration of the Spirit and with understanding so its only logical that you would lash out against that which you don't understand. The Bible is *NOT* subject to change its message based on what is acceptable by man because it is not man who will allow you into heaven or send you to hell it is God, so if homosexuality, pornography and glorification of fornication and sexual promiscuity is popular and or widely accepted by man the Bible is not wrong for its holy message against those types of things and conversely, those of us who preach these scared principles are not zealots and fundies.
I have read the bible, went to youth group for years, and was a Job's Daughter for five years. I understand the bible completly. ANd if I don't want to buy into it that is my choice so don't assume everyone doesn't follow it has no understanding of it. Plus most people you don't believe in the bible do not believe in the heaven it speaks of so I don't think they are worried about not getting into it.

The Bible is virtually meaningless to someone not baptized by the Holy Spirit. You'd know that if you read the Bible....but, then how could you without the Holy Spirit?

Ahh, that's where Evangelism comes in.

What scripture says we will be AWARE of torment for eternity in hell?

Since you said the Bible implies this the burden of proof is on *YOU* to prove this, not the Bass.

A lot of scripture says there is a Hell.

The Parable of the Wheat and Tare for instance where the field owner will collect the wheat and the tare and throw the tare into the fire but keep the wheat in His barn.

Great, now you're trolling, but this isn't new, same old Shogun behaviour when he's getting a Bass-whipping.

Clearly you are not catching the reference. Please, tell me more about which of us should read the bible again!

There was nothing un-Christian in what the Bass has said because all of it is written in the scriptures so if you have a problem with that take it up with God.

Again, you are picking and choosing which scripture applies. Did you think jesus was just making a suggestion when he said, and I quote, "Let ye among you who are sinless cast the first stone"? Do you even comprehend what this means in relation to your joke of a personal faith?

Christians are not supposed to support anything thats contra to the Word of God, regardless of whether its acceptable to man or not. Voting for Prop 8 is going against God and His Word and the Bass choses God over a bunch of sinful sodomites.

Allowing other AMERICANS to get married doesn't amount to your support. By all means, don't go sucking any dicks and trying to marry dudes. Notice, even JEBUS didn't strike out against other faiths during his entire period on Earth. Perhaps you should figure out why he didn't try to seize the prerogative of Ceasar.

or, be as self righteous as the Pharisees. Your call.

who says that the nomenclature must match when we ALL see the exact same purpose in your replies? You think no one sees how YOU try to marginalize non-believers?

:cuckoo:

Are you suggesting something, baba? If that were the case I have no doubt that you'd be seeing killers everywhere with the massive inferiority complex you've got.

yea.. I mean.. Hell.. those snakes won't BITE THEMSELVES!

New Testament scripture... fine for the person who believes in the New Testament, but not particularly relevant to someone who doesn't believe the NT is the bible.

If your God is willing to condemn me, a Non-Christian, to a fate of eternal torture and punishment even though I was righteous person and a believer of God - well then your God is not for me and your God is cruel.

"Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom. BUT THE VALLEY OF SLAUGHTER: for they shall bury in Tophet. till there be no place. And the carcasses of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven. and for the beasts of the earth: . . ." The name change from that of being "the valley of the son of Hinnom" to that of "the valley of slaughter" speaks volumes; for in this valley will be thrown the "carcasses" (i.e. dead bodies) of the People of God. There will be those who are denied burial, and they will be thrown into the fires of this valley. Again in Jer. 19:2-7 reference is made to this changing of the name to "the valley of slaughter.

"For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the King it is prepared (i.e. for Molech); He hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it. "Isa. 30:33.

Tophet or the valley of Hinnom was a place where the refuse of Jerusalem was consumed by fires that burned continually. Also, it is suggested that the reader look at Appendix 68 of the Companion Bible where it is pointed out under the heading of VIII. THE DUNG GATE OF NEHEMIAH that there was an underground sewage system which flowed from the Temple area through the dung gate and discharged itself into the valley junction of Kidron and Hinnom. This sewer carried the blood of the sacrificial animals, the water of the ceremonial cleansings as well as the sewage from the Levitical quarters....

The Lord said He would change the name of the valley to the VALLEY OF SLAUGHTER, for He would see to it that those of His people that sinned or transgressed would be killed by the sword and their burial would be in this place. This calls to mind the passage in Isa. 66:23-24 which is clearly millennial.

"And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the Lord.

And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against Me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall bean abhorring unto all flesh."

Before bashing a Christian as judging someone why not read the Bible yourself first because you would find out it is you who is doing the judging, not the Bass, so before you accuse someone else of judging check yourself first genius.

Nobody is picking and choosing you idiot, the Bass is simply quoting exactly what the Bible says, not rendering his own judgement from within himself. If you're an unbelieving sinner and the shoe fits wear it, stop whining about people "judging" you to escape looking at yourself.

Again, the Bass choses glorifying God rather than glorifying men and or doing things for the praise of men. Voting for Prop 8 isn't going to bring Christians closer to God and not voting for it isn't going to bring Christians closer to hell either. Jesus simply told his disciples to pay the tax with a coin so as not to offend the tax collectors which is why he said render to Caesar what is Caesar's. Marriage is a scared act that belongs to God so sodomites have no right to pimp and pervert that which is sacred to suit their sinful lifestyle.

If your God is willing to condemn me, a Non-Christian, to a fate of eternal torture and punishment even though I was righteous person and a believer of God - well then your God is not for me and your God is cruel.

You can believe in God all you like, even the demons believe and tremble, but failing to do His will means getting a reward of eternal punishment. The choice is yours, not God's to follow His Word and do His will.

How to identify a zealot:

1. They always interject their religious beliefs in the forms of "teachings" into topics that are inherently not related to such, usually in the form of reciting or repeating some scriptural reference.

2. They insist that all other religions are wrong or evil regardless of the fact that they truly do not have more validity or truth in their own religion.

3. When their religion is insulted indirectly they will rant and cry foul even after the person who had done so apologizes.

4. Everything they disagree with that becomes law or any act that is different than them, no matter how unrelated, is considered an "attack" even when those involved are not focusing on the religious aspect of such.

It works in politics to, but meh, different topic.

Another telltale tactic they use is when you challenge them to support an assertion they made, they say "YOU look it up!". In other words you caught them bluffing.

I would disagree with that, it's not a tactic and not exclusive to zealots. Often I am too lazy to dig through the thousands of references online to find specifically what I am talking about myself, especially when talking about something that was posted online more than a week before. It's also virtually impossible to find non-biased sources online, haven't seen many at all for anything, and you can't "link" most books on the web. So in many cases it's a valid request.

I've seen it used dozens of times. I won't make a factual statement unless I have something to back it up.

I was baptized as a child if that is what you are refering to and was a christian until a few years ago. Like I said I grew up going to church and to Job's Daughters. I just stopped believing in it when I developed a mind of my own.

No YOU said we will suffer "eternal torment" in hell. How can you be tormented if you are unaware????

It's the Atheists who say awareness ends AFTER death!!!
Are you an Atheist rather than a Satanist?

I am doing God's will by living a good life filled with good deeds. I am doing God's will by being generous to the poor. I am doing God's will by being good-hearted to all human beings and treating them with respect. I am doing God's will by taking care of the body he created and respecting the Earth he created.

If this is not God enough for your God - Your God is not God.

I call BS. You've already admitted in the Columbine thread that you're "comfortable" accepting allegations and suppositions as proof.
