Years ago when my parents were still alive, I was at a loss as to what to say for 'grace' at a T-Giving dinner held at my house.

Dear Abbys mother said the following grace that she reprinted in her column today and I thought I'd share it, since I've been using it for a number of years to good reception:

Oh, Heavenly Father, We thank thee for food
and remember the hungry.
We thank thee for health
and remember the sick.
We thank thee for freedom
and remember the enslaved.
May these remembrances stir us to service.
That thy gifts to us may be used by others. Amen.

Have a great Thanksgiving........
