Texas supreme court just made the dumbest move possible politically.

doctors are wrong all the time

Life trumps a doctor's opinion

Murder is a legal term.

Murder is the "the crime of unlawfully and unjustifiably killing a person"

If the abortion is legal, it can't by definition, be murder.

If saying murder gives you good thots and feels then by all means, do so; but you will be lying.

So a heartbeat doesn't mean a living being?

Two parts from the link -

Monday's ruling appeared to reject a key argument by the plaintiffs in that case - that doctors' good-faith belief should be enough to meet the exception.

Cox's fetus was diagnosed on Nov. 27 with trisomy 18, a genetic abnormality that usually results in miscarriage, stillbirth or death soon after birth.

So it would appear that you can have a medical emergency abortion in Texas if there's a danger to the mothers life/health, for example, an ectopic pregnancy. As you can see and read, her condition doesn't meet this criteria, so why the confusion and anger?

It's there in black and white, how did the first court get it so wrong?

Simply put, if it had been, for example ectopic, she would have got an abortion.
Terminating an ectopic pregnancy isn't an abortion.

They ruled against Kate Cox even though she had already left the state for her treatment.
This ruling comes off a spiteful and mean, but as we know with republicans the cruelty is often the point.
Anyway, they had the opportunity to show sympathy, to be reasonable, to act like human beings, and they threw it away.
This is a gift for Democrats, but a sad day for the country.

Courts rule on law, not what looks good.

No wonder your side looks so stupid.
