Terrorists, dogs and guns

More than 19 levels of security vetting that takes 2 years.

No, there are really no reasons to be against it.The RWNJs say the US is a "Christian" nation but that's a lie. If it doesn't benefit the 1%, we don't care.

You would absolutely think that we had hundreds of people dead in the streets from terrorists the way that some people are carrying on.

But the reality is, only 45 Americans within the United States have been killed by Islamic Terrorists since 2002. 27 of those deaths were linked to two incidents, the Fort Hood Massacre and San Bernadino.

By comparison, from 2005 to 2014, DOGS have caused the deaths of 326 Americans. Yet you don't see Donald Trump screaming we need to deport all the dogs. You don't even get a lot of support for just banning dangerous breeds like Pit Bulls.

Okay, one more Stat just for fun. Let's look at the number of Americans killed by guns in the last decade. This would include most of the 45 deaths by terrorists listed above and none of the deaths by Dog.

Number of gun deaths since 2005? 279,976.

Fact-checking a comparison of gun deaths and terrorism deaths

Seems we are getting upset about the wrong things....

Why not add in the ones who were killed on 9/11, you dishonest POS. Those people count too.

Also, in his anti canine rant for got to mention those heroic dogs who sniffed out and saved people in the rubble.

It takes a truly sick mind to compare mankind's best friend to mankind's worst enemy.

What a dumb attempt to be relevant.

Really. You're just desperate and nutty.

:cuckoo:

I hope that if you or JoeB131 - Heaven forbid - go blind, you will find a seeing eye Muslim, since you seem to prefer Muslims to dogs. Or when you will be in the need of petting someone you will find a therapy Muslim.

Because that was 14 years ago. I was talking about JUST THE LAST DECADE.

Now, in the last decade, you haven't had a 9/11, mostly because they finally secured the airports.

I know, what a concept. Actually keeping weapons out of places they shouldn't be.

No, they really didn't. Airports have security theatre...full of sound and fury, accomplishing nothing (except pissing off anybody that flies). This is proven by things like the TSA's 90+% failure rate in detecting contraband!

What does that bring the total to?

To include the 3,000 who were murdered on 09-11-2001 we need to change the thread title to Terrorists, dogs, guns and commercial aircraft used as flying bombs.

Does it really matter if it was a gun or a plane when the end result is the same? The fact of the matter is, even if there were NO guns, there would still be terrorist attacks.

See: the Tsarnaev brothers.

Maybe.

But let's look at what was done after 9/11.

We replaced the "Rent-a-cops" at airports with a professional TSA.

That fuck up 9 times in ten.

We created a no-fly list of people we thought might not be best to let on airplanes.

Which is a total clusterfuck, including active-duty Air Force officers (including a brigadier general), Senators, and infants!

We put body scanners in the airports. People have to take off their shoes and scan them because one idiot put C-4 in his shoe and tried to light it on fire.

Which would have helped not at all...because he boarded the plane in Europe!

We put steel doors on the cockpits.
We put Armed Air Marshals on some flights.

Yes, those help...even a blind jackass finds the occasional feedbag.

I was once on the receiving side of refugee rejection, so I speak with more knowledge than you do.

In my group of refugees there was never, not one, not a single individual who wanted to go to America with the single purpose of doing America damage. My group of refugees had no countries who could have welcomed me, who spoke the same language as this particular group of refugees do.

This group of refugees should seek refuge in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, Nigeria, Libya or even Iran, rather than in a country that their religion compels them to hurt and destroy.

Yet there hasn't been another hijacking since, has there?

Or getting 'upset' concerning 'Islamic terrorism' is unwarranted and ridiculous.

Just love how you kept the US Service men and women deaths out of that list.

This just really brings home how little leftists think of our Vets.

Wrong again – the OP noted since 2002.

But if you and other dishonest rightists want to play that stupid game, how many Americans have been killed by Christian domestic terrorists – you can start with Oklahoma City.

You and other rightwing nitwits aren't going to be allowed to propagate your hypocrisy and double-standard without being called on it: you whine about 'Islamic terrorists' when in fact there are other threats – more significant threats – that you mention nothing about because you perceive attacking Muslims as being politically advantageous.

Or mention we are at war with them.

It's the new spin, if we are against islamist killing us, we should get rid of our guns

those service men and women are in war zones in their countries... so, no, they don't count.

No war, no service member deaths. Especially since MOST of those deaths occurred in IRaq, which had nothing to do with terrorism until Bush invaded it.

"Waw, we are having a war and the other side is fighting back!!!"

More laws can't possibly help knocking these numbers down, more laws just make things worse. Just More death, more discontentment...
