A Canadian woman who has been an international fugitive from charges relating to a string of fires set by environmental radicals surrendered to U.S. authorities on Thursday, officials said.
After a decade on the run, Rebecca Jeanette Rubin, 39, turned herself in at the Canadian border in Blaine, Wash., the FBI announced. She faces federal arson and conspiracy charges in Oregon, Colorado and California. After an appearance in federal district court in Seattle, she will be sent to face trial in Oregon, officials said.
Rubin is accused of being part of a cell known as the Family, which was based in Eugene, Ore., and was affiliated with the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front. From 1996 to 2001, the group was responsible for 20 arsons in five Western states, officials said.

Funny how ELF (earth liberation front) terrorist network was so active during the Bush administration but retired as soon as Hussein was elected. Usually the Feds keep a terrorist like that under surveillance until they can collar the whole network or at least the key players. My guess is that the FBI needed a big bust to deflect attention from the criminal negligence of Benghazi so they grabbed her up.

No, I disagree with your statement regarding Obama. It would take much more to over shadow Bengahazi.

Moreover, the group disbanded 2001 the FBI opened up a cell in 2005 and this maniac's motivation for surrendering was to get this behind her.

I smell a rat. Hard core terrorists don't just surrender unless there is a sweet deal. Bill Ayers showed how that was done. The US must look like an idiot giant. We can't even bring ourselves to place the jihad Major Nidal on trial going on four years after he shot and killed 13 of his own men.

Nidal is a different story altogether. One delay after another over things like Nidal having a beard and cannot wear his uniform according to regulations therefore everything gets pushed back until that issue is decided.

Ayers should be doing time in a cell next to Charlie Manson for felony murder but a friendly federal judge ruled that it was the FBI's fault that poor Bill went underground after his comrades were killed by a bomb he helped to construct. I smell a rat in this case. Why would the Canadian babe with the electrolysis problem surrender on the border? A warmer winter in the US?

Because there was some kind of deal that she was offered that she found acceptable. This has been attempted previously but those deals were not to her liking. Further, "Rubin is not specifically charged with terrorism, but the indictment alleges she and the other members of The Family tried to influence businesses and the government and tried to retaliate against the government."
