Taking American's jobs?

An American businessman decided to 'hire American' and couldn't find enough workers, so he flew in a crew of Mexican workers to get it done. So if Mexicans are taking all these American jobs, why can't American businesses find enough American workers to fill positions? Where are all the out of work 'middle class workers that voted for Trump'.

A landscaper’s ‘hire American’ plan ended with bringing in Mexican workers to finish the job
you created the welfare state and are now wondering why those people don't want to work?

You don't even realize your hand in this, do you.

And you failed to notice that the jobs being offered ran from April to October. If you're looking for full-time work, this is not the job for you. What are you supposed to do the other 6 months of the year?
get another job....

Part of the article goes through how the business owner spent $32,000 to fly in enough Mexican workers to complete the jobs he had. Which had to be approved by immigration yes? Or the federal government in any case. Which they did approve.

Odd that isn't it Trump supporters.

Why do you think that is odd?

He could;ve spent that 32k on wages.

Or free pot...i bet you he could of got some welfare hoes to work for him.

What was the advertised salary?
Interesting that question was never raised.

The ability to invite slave-wage workers from a foreign country to just come across the border will destroy the American middle class by eliminating the progress made by the union movement.

Why is this being allowed? If that company can't survive by hiring Americans at a livable wages then let it fail.

If these stingy bastards wont offer a decent wage then they should go out of business.
It's funny we say that, but liberals say the government should force companies to raise wages or go out of business
Let the market determine the wage scale when the laws are being enforced.

Letting companies use black market illegal labor is just as bad an abuse of the market as is artificially high minimum wage.

If these idiots cant figure out how to attract legal labor then fuck them.

The market always favours the employer, especially at the lower end of the pay scale. There are more unskilled workers vying for fewer jobs.

Because successive Republican Congresses have used earned income credits and food stamps to supplement low income wages, while refusing to raise the minimum wage, this has artificially deflated the wages paid at the lowest end, and essentially shifted the burden of their income supplements to the middle class.

Wages as a percentage of GDP are at their lowest levels since the Guilded Age. Businesses have managed to absorb increased costs for premises, utilities, equipment, raw materials, property taxes, and health insurance for employees, over the past 30 years but cry poor whenever the subject of wages comes up or claim that workers aren't worth more money despite increases in production, management salaries and profits. This is neither logical nor fair to the frontline workers.

It would be cheaper overall to require corporations to increase wages than it is to collect taxes, conduct income assessments and issue benefit checks to those whose income is low enough to require subsidy. The small increase in prices that would result would be more than made up for by the decrease in income taxes required to provide the subsidies currently being paid.

If a business can't afford to pay a living wage to its employees it should go out of business.

What if he had offered the $32,000 as increased wages for the workers he hired?

It's a matter of perspective.

There are plenty of talented and skilled workers, but they already have jobs. Mostly what's left over are toothless Republicans without education or skills. Why no education?

The majority of Republicans say colleges are bad for America (yes, really)

There weren't any to take the jobs. That is the point. Where's the bus with the out of work West Virginia coal miners? Give them the jobs. Nobody took the jobs. This is also the case with most of the agriculture jobs that require hard work like picking lettuce or other such work. Americans refuse to do it.

You you really have no concept of what it is like to live on welfare do you? You've swallowed that "lazy asshole welfare line" from top to bottom. Post such as yours display utter ignorance.

Hello,
there are 6.2 million jobs available. The reason so many is because so many Americans don't have any skills. Remember, they Republicans don't like college. The only jobs they will be capable of doing are unskilled labor. And that's an ever shrinking pool of available jobs requiring no skills.

They don't have the skills it's because of single mothers ..

.....

The market does NOT always favor employers.

With limits on the size of the labor pool, power will shift back to the worker.

I've been in situations, as the worker, when I have had the power. It was glorious, and I was merciless.

I want more of my fellow Americans to enjoy that.

Employers should train the employment pool to fit their needs. Like they do in third world countries.

The business should determine what it pays and what it cannot pay, Not the federal government
