Tahoe Late Spring Snow Defies NASA and NOAA

Thanks for continuing to lie. Climate scientists do not blame everything on global warming. And global warming WILL have many effects, not all of them intuitively obvious.

What a load of shit from the AGW board member who is head of the bullshit industry. Climate scientists blame damn near everything on global warming. THATS WHAT THEY DO!! Almost invariably, its crap based upon bogus computer models too........and btw......the NOAA and NASA are particularly wrong when looking forward.

So....for example.......every climate nutter in here is always talking about forest fires getting wild and out of control. Actually the steep decline in frequency of them happening in the western USA is alarming scientists >>>

Never hear about this from the religion........they make it like the west coast is completely turning black!!:2up::bye1::bye1:

Spring snow storms in late April is not unusual where I live. Waking up to 16" TWICE this month alone IS..(today's snow was totally missed by NOAA models). And were expected to be way below normal for the rest of april and far wetter than normal.. BUT IT IS ALL WITHIN THE RANGE OF NATURAL VARIATION.. AGW it is not... The recent dip in TSI has cooled the upper atmosphere so I expect this to continue well into May and maybe even June.

Its gonna be a real interesting summer and early winter this year.. The pencil whipping will continue unabated, to keep the Hottest ev'a mantra alive and well..

Billy, it was 81 here in Chicago yesterday, today high 50, 31 degree swing, staying in the 50s through Sunday. So if we don't get a High pressure system that allows the heat from Texas up, we stay pretty much in the 50s this time of year. naturally. Nothing new and nothing out of the ordinary for Chicago.

I was watching CBS this morning and they were talking about severe weather in the plains and making out like their going to see all kinds of tornadoes and hail, acting like it was new or something, and in the middle of his explanation, he calls it tornado alley. Well duh, why do you think it's called tornado alley? Cause they get tornadoes often this time of year, and throughout the year. Duuuuuhhhhhhhhh. My fkn gawd, I tell you the attempted exaggeration is deafening.

In another blow to those who promote AGW, that is Global Warming, it has snowed a good solid 2 feet in California this late spring.

Too bad NASA ain't got a satellite to see if the Ice grew in the arctic

what is it today? high of 59 maybe. so now you're ten under. so, big fking deal. How come it doesn't stay at 10 over Jackson?

what is it today?

About average. Expecting mid 60's. Mostly sunny.

so wait, you said you were ten over at 80, means your average is 70, and you're going to be under that. Right????????

I looked at your forecast and it is showing those temps through the weekend. Hmmmmm normal.

A spring snow in the upper Sierra's is simply another spring snow in the Sierras. Nothing at all unusual. However, three record years in a row is rather unusual.

1998, a record year, surpassing anything previous to that. 7 years later, 2005, another record year, close to 1998. Then 5 years later, 2010, another record year, close to 1998. 4 years later, 2014, another record year, close to 1998,. following that, 2015, far surpassing 1998. And now 2016 looks like it will at least match 1998. And in the meantime, all you idiots blather on about a late snow in the high mountains.
Record years of snowfall, how is there global warming and catastrophy with record snow?
My, just cannot keep from lying, can you?

67% of normal for the highest area is hardly a record.

3 days, out of millions of years, shocking.
and the reason it was high was due to the pressure system and getting heat from somewhere blown in by the front that brought it.

Fronts suck.
and still exist. sucks to be you eh?

Dumbass. You totally missed the observation that a front is a low pressure area that draws other weather towards it AKA it sucks.

I'm not interested in getting involved in the Global Warming fight, but your argument doesn't make any sense.

Its easy, it snowed somewhere so it cant be warm in other places of the world.

...you're right, it doesnt make sense at all
can you explain why the temperature has varied 20 degrees in Chicago from day to day?

To you?

Impossible.
cause you know it won't bode well for ya. I know already. Cause you see, temperatures change due to highs and lows in the atmosphere. warm air from the south will take our temps to the 70s and when that stops, the temps go back to the 50s. we get someone elses heat, not our own CO2. hmmmm how is that possible? air currents produced from fronts of high and low pressure systems. Yep, you can't make that statement cause that would mean that temps are higher as a result of something other than CO2. you're funny gene.

I really wish you and your pals would learn atmospheric conditions and their affects on weather and temps. How do you suppose the cold air from the arctic gets to chi-town? any ideas?

Tell us all about it, jc. LOL

If some "expert" told you there was going to be no snow, no arctic ice etc then you should use your brain to determine that person is not an expert at all.

You should find people who are actual experts and take into consideration their ideas. Not some weirdo who tells you grade A bullshit.
I am just here stating facts, the snow betrays nasa and noaa.
No, you are stating lies, because neither NASA nor NOAA ever stated any such things. You have lied so many times here that one can automatically assume whatever you state is a lie.

Two thirds of my favorite Wilderness Area burned, only heroic efforts saved three small towns from the same thing, and came within one mile of the house that my mother and grandfather were born in.

Weeks after Canyon Creek Complex fire, many weighing whether it's worth it to rebuild

CANYON CITY — Driving up Canyon Creek, south of John Day toward Burns, the devastation is dramatic.

The Canyon Creek Complex fire tore through the canyon in mid-August, leaving the woods and community forever changed.

"This was so awesome in here before this," Grant County Judge Scott Myers said as he drove his pickup along U.S. 395 through the canyon. For about 8 miles the highway cuts through where the wildfire burned and destroyed homes. Around each turn comes a shocking sight, remnants of once proud homes or homes that were somehow spared from the flames.

The wildfire destroyed 43 homes, including 39 in a massive flare-up in the canyon on Aug. 14. Now those who lost homes are weighing whether to stay and rebuild or leave and live elsewhere.

The fire was among the most destructive in Oregon history. Before the Canyon Creek Complex fire, a pair of Bend wildfires -- the Awbrey Hall Fire that destroyed 22 homes in 1990 and the Skeleton Fire that leveled 19 homes in 1996 -- had stood as the worst in terms of homes lost, Brian Ballou, a spokesman for the Oregon Department of Forestry, wrote in an email.

There were massive fires in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Bad enough the firefighters were not trying to save forest land at all, just trying to save the small towns and ranches in the way of the fires.
