REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (CBS 3) ― Delaware State Police are searching for a suspect who held-up a sub shop with a hypodermic needle.

Police say on Saturday evening, a man entered Casapulla's sandwich shop, located in the Lighthouse Plaza, north of Rehoboth, where he confronted the store's employee with a hypodermic needle in his hand. The suspect told the employee that he had "AIDS" and would stick the employee with the infected needle if he did not comply.

According to police, the suspect, who also claimed to have another weapon, obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the store before fleeing on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Start of a trend?

If the clerk had a sawed off 12 gauge under the counter, there'd be one less scum bag wasting our air.

Good point. But we know that if the guy didn't have AIDs, the clerk would be the one on the defense. I'm just afraid that these scumbags won't even need a gun anymore - just a free needle distributed by the "caring" folks at the needle exchange.

Wonder why they just didn't take a mop handle and beat his ass until the police got there? Let's see, needle verses mop handle... Not much of a fight.
