The first amendment means plenty, just not what you think it does.
Syphon is probably thinks the 'General Welfare' Clause in the Constitution means what it has become...:eusa_whistle:
make that argument to the supreme court, i havent made any decisions based on it. they have.

Social Security Online

guess that socialist supreme court got it wrong when it came to social security then.

Moral code, not so much religious views.
The first amendment only prohibits Congress from making one religion superlative to the other. It does not, in any way exclude religion from government. Conversely, it does exclude government from religion.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

Okay, what part of stupid do you guys not understand. THIS IS ABOUT WHO VOTED FOR WHOM IN WHAT SUPER TUESDAY STATE.

Not your stupid paranoia that the 1st Amendment will mean something again, and you fear that.

:cuckoo:

These idiots really do think the word "separation" is in the first amendment.

Here in Georgia Newt is going to pull about 50% so our votes really aren't going to matter.

As far as Iran goes, I think Benjy made it pretty clear last night that Israel is going to take care of the nuke thing, which is what exercising their sovereignty is all about. Funny thing, Ron Paul supports Israel's right to their own sovereignty, and doesn't want or expect them to play lap dog to Uncle Sam.

Yeah, I hear Newt is doing well in GA. Here in Ohio, I don't think he has a chance. It's between Santorum and Romney.

And as usual Romney is doing his usual dirty political ads.

In that case I hope Santorum pulls it off, there's nothing I would like to see more than a brokered convention...

I don't think it will be brokered. But frankly, I don't think the "brokered" convention is the win for Obama that liberals thinks it is.

ALL conventions were brokered when I was a kid (in there were no primaries and candidates WERE picked at the convention).

Since primaries, the convention has become nothing but a PR media staged event, and all quite boring.

I don't like the primary system as it works now. It should all be one day (all of 'em). Not the North starting first, picking a Rino and then the rest of the states following suit because of "momentum."

A brokered convention would really focus attention on the convention and a real vetting process would happen.

That's all good. That's what used to happen, and Republicans STILL won presidencies.

You kiddies who don't remember when things were like that, think such a process is armageddon.

I assure you, it's not. It used to be business as usual.

Yeah, because ONLY an atheist should use HIS religious views as basis for law.

Moron!

Show me where it says in the Constitution, you CAN'T use your views as a basis for law?

I got news for you, THAT'S WHAT THE CONSTITUTION IS. It is a set of principles (ie, the VIEWS OF THE FOUNDING FATHERS) set down as law.

How do you think a bill becomes a law. Clue: Someone has a VIEW that something should become a LAW and goes about getting more people to agree to that VIEW, setting the process in motion.

You know that's based on Syphon's view ONLY atheism is allowed by the Constitution.

By syphon's standards? George Washington, and the founders should have been silenced for openly voicing thier opinions and citing G-O-D (or higher power other than man). :eusa_shhh:

And all the while bow at the alter of the religion of big government that is stealing away liberty from underneath him...

Well, Rick Santorum isn't a conservative.........

None of them are conservatives.
I'm in TN, which is an important state today, and I voted for Santorum. Not that I especially agree with every single thing he says. But every time he opens his mouth liberals have a stroke. That's worth my vote.

None of them are perfect.

You just have to pick the one that most represents your values and views and for me, that's definitely Santorum.

Not, Mitt, "I was for gay marriage, single payer, and abortion before I was against it" Romney.

Or Newt "I cheated on a wife with cancer, but I'm for 'family values'" Gingrich.

It is! Right before the famous "iron curtain" phrase.

TPS, Rabbi and I all voted for the same person today.

Looks like.

So, far that's three for Santorum, one for Paul and I haven't seen a single Romney supporter in here.

Interesting, but probably not indicative of how the primaries will turn out.

Not since Herbert Hoover has a party out of power had such an opportunity to run against everything that troubles the American family—prices, interest rates, unemployment, taxes, or the fear for the future of their old age or the future of their children—than is now presented to the Republican Party.

The Republicans, however, haven't figured this out. This is their basic problem. They have no strategy for defeating an Obama administration that is highly vulnerable on both domestic and foreign policy.

That's the conventional wisdom in a nutshell, isn't it?

McGurn: Reagan Was A Sure Loser Too - WSJ.com

The Dems are in for a rude shock.

Oh Jeezus TPS, Santorum blows, if you don't like Romney at least vote for Gingrich!

All right people. It's Gut check time! If you are in a Super Tuesday State like
"pivotal" Ohio (my home state) let us know how you voted.

I voted Rick Santorum
(for Sen) Steve Stivers
(for Congress) Chris Long

And I CAN'T BELIEVE they changed my district. Pat Tiberi has been my Congressman for YEARS. No longer. I guess I got redistricted. :dunno:

And I wanted to vote in that race too. Burn!
