Suddenly, Progressives WANT the Pope to give the USA direction

Well, Progressives do also seem to love Muslims, who degrade and destroy women.

So...

They don't really stand for anything, other than collecting a handful of votes from one "community" while betraying that "community" elsewhere to collect another handful of votes.

Women, Gays and Muslims, now they've added Pro-Death and Catholics to their agenda.

See hazlnut 's USMB forum icon (gay pride flag with Islam on it)

This morning WaPost has Progressives encouraging our lawmakers to follow the advice from the Vatican.

Is this a precedent? Can we site this Progressive support of the Vatican on a go forward basis? Can we rely on this new found religious inspiration to direct other Progressive policies -- or is this a one off when it benefits a Communist scumbag?

"But Rubio had more trouble when The Washington Post’s Ed O’Keefe asked the Catholic lawmaker what he would say to Pope Francis, who intervened to encourage negotiations and to receive delegations from the two countries at the Vatican."

Where did anyone say that the Pope gave the U.S. direction on this?

The Pope acted as a third facilitator- a role Popes have done in the past.

Do you think it is wrong to use the Pope as a third party intermediary?

What you dont seem to realize is that progressives value good ideas no matter who they come from. Only a retard would turn down a good idea because they dont agree with the source on other issues.
Do the whining, bitching Conservatives remember what John Paul II did with Reagan? Polish Pope, freedom in Poland. Latin American Pope, open doors to Cuba.

A dynamic missed when viewed through partisan blinders.

What's wrong with agreeing with the Pope on an issue you agree with him on?
Small minds can't handle that.

Cons have been taught in a very simplistic manner how to deal with circumstances. its either all bad or all good. No in between. You can almost hear them grunting while they weigh the 2 choices.

The pope that sneaks out of the vatican at night to feed the homeless.

I think America could use some direction from him.

No, it's called hearing voices in your head. The dog that told Son of Sam to kill people was not a product of thoughtfulness.

When I see "2+2" a voice in my head says "4."

When your progressives see "2+2" you might feel hunger, or cold, or anger....

I agree that no internal voice of thought will be triggered - it isn't in your nature.

So you classify economically benefiting a Communist dictator as a "good idea"
are you really trying to pretend that normalizing relations with cuba is anything other than a good idea?

It would be a good idea-- with Raoul dead and US run Baghdad type elections
