sums it nicely. buy into the "man made GLOBULL warming" at all our peril

SNIP:
At the tumultuous summer’s close, when throat-slashing, genocidal jihadists and economic malaise dominated headlines and our psyches, Hillary Clinton announced her preoccupation.
“Climate change is the most consequential, urgent, sweeping collection of challenges we face,” she proclaimed, adding, “no matter what the deniers try to assert” — thus dismissing from polite society those inclined to Think Again about America’s greatest concerns.

Like Clinton, members of the “Church of Settled Science” invoke the moral equivalent of Holocaust denial to reject those deeming climate change less dangerous than other threats, such as the Islamic State, a nuclear Iran, a debt-laden stagnant economy or record levels of poverty.

Their Church gospel considers it “anti-science” to believe climate change is a naturally reoccurring phenomenon to which mankind has always adapted, and still can.
After all, as Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore said before Congress, because “frost and ice are the enemies of life ... a warmer temperature than today’s would be far better than a cooler one.”
Nevertheless, it’s an excommunicable sin to oppose tax and regulatory policies that would barely limit global emissions but would increase economy-wide prices, retard economies and reduce standards of living — disproportionately among the poor.

According to their dogma, it’s blasphemous to oppose giving unaccountable bureaucrats (in the EPA or internationally) unprecedented power to centrally plan and control economic life without even a vote of Congress.

Climate change, sea level rise threaten national monuments
Sept. 17, 2014 | "The monument area and the Mall are in some ways the soul of Washington, D.C.," said Ben Strauss.
By the middle of the 21st century, the National Mall and the many national monuments that surround it could routinely be underwater -- under siege from floodwaters as the planet warms and sea levels continue to rise. That according to a new report release this week by environmental research group Climate Central.

And it's not just Washington's monuments at risk. According to the group's apparently "conservative" estimates, some $7 billion worth of property, including three military bases, could be at risk by 2050. "Washington, D.C. is likely to see record flooding by 2040 under a mid-range sea level rise scenario," the report authors write. "The monument area and the Mall are in some ways the soul of Washington, D.C., so to see those areas flooding, I think, will probably have an important emotional and cultural effect, as well as a physical effect," Ben Strauss, director of Climate Central's Program, told the New York Times.

But more aggressive predictions paint a more dire picture, with both the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials becoming islands in the middle of a flooded Potomac River, and with the capital's military bases becoming completely submerged. Meanwhile, Washington's southwest waterfront is set for a multi-billion-dollar redevelopment. "We're developing our waterfront for the first time in our history," D.C. Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton told CSN Baltimore. "It's not going to be there if we don't find a way to respond to climate change locally even if the Congress does not do what it's supposed to do nationally."

Staph, you really don't understand science. You cannot politically massage the warming. It is evident to scientists from every nation in the world. All the Scientific Societies, all the National Academies of Science, and major Universities of the world state that AGW is real, and a clear and present danger.

Now, as the effects of the warming become as increasingly evident, those fools that deny the obvious science, are going to find their political future in major jeapordy.

What is evident...and becoming more evident as the predicted warming refuses to happen is that climate science doesn't understand science. When you make predictions based on a hypothesis...and the predictions fail, you junk the hypothesis and try to actually find out what's happening. What science doesn't do is waste years making excuses for why the failed hypothesis failed.
