To register to vote, should provide documentation to prove that they are legal citizens. To vote, they should provide valid ID to prove that they are the person whose right to vote they are exercising. I'd also like to see English made the official language. No alternate language ballots.

I have long wished English to be made the official language of the land. That would not prohibit any place from furnishing documents in other languages if they chose to do so, but would remove the legal requirement to do so. That would be sufficient for me.

Another provision I would like to see is a federal law making it a felony with severe and harsh penalties for submitting an intentionally fradulent registration or for voting twice for any federal office. If they restore the integrity to the system, it might put organizations like ACORN out of business, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over that.
