Starting to look like Stesak wasn't the only one

I recommend that any unemployed members of the board immediately announce their intention to run as a Democrat in any elections.... very shortly, Billy C will call with a job offer. Hey presto, you're working again.

As we have seen since Tricky Dickie walked through the West Wing...

It's not the crime, it's the coverup that gets you hung. The man who first got elected to congress by invalidating the incumbent who previously held the seat's election petition forms using dirty tricks to get legislation passed? Why am I not surprised.

Oh and for the Bush and Reagan did it too argument? If they had actually done it, why didn't you prosecute? Libs controlled congress under Reagan AND the last 2 years of Bush 43. You're now saying that we have to tolerate this level of corruption?

Next time, you have someone dead to rights on corruption, pull the trigger and we'll do the same. Serve the nation best.

mmkay?

:clap2::clap2:

I don't give a fuck who it is, or what party it is, corruption is corruption and they need to be called on it. If everyone does it then it will eventually get cleaned up.

However, it's a fine line between exposing corruption and "gotcha politics", and one that seems impossible for the media and partisans not to cross.

There would need to be a crime to prosecute...

That does not stop the delusional left from making the following claims...

Bush stole 2 elections.

Bush lied about Iraq.

Cheney and Bush were really working for the oil companies.

Among others.

The second and third things on the list, assuming they are true for the sake of discussion, wouldn't be crimes anyway.

You're forgetting the biggy: "Outing Valerie Plame" as an agent. Despite months of investigation at a cost of millions this incident failed to get any convictions at all. It was a non event because it was a non crime. But if there had been any possibility of getting an impeachment the Dems would have gone for it. The fact they didnt tells you it was nothing.
We'll see where this one goes. Hopefully it will consume all the resources of the administration and they leave the rest of us alone.

Twofold on impeachment:
1. Even if they thought it was possible, it likely would have been a political loser.
2. They never would have secured a conviction in the Senate. The Republican caucus could have seen Bush murder someone on national television, and they'd still have voted not guilty in mass.

All true, thanks.
Then WHY in the NAME OF GOD did you not PROSECUTE??????

We know why.

These are lies on YOUR part for political games.

These accusations were true and you decided to NOT prosecute because you wanted political leverage.

These issues of corruptions did not bother you a long as the status quo was not disrupted.

I cannot understand why people think that this kind of crap is a defense. It didn't work with your mother. It sure as hell shouldn't work now with so much on the line as the lives of over 300 million citizens that REQUIRE ethical and moral governance.

Bush ended his term as one of the most unpopular presidents in history. Quit trying to rewrite that. It was a loser because it would have been motivated purely by politics. There was no other reason.
The GOP knew they would not get a conviction in the Senate either with Clinton. But they voted to impeach because it was the right thing to do.

No, they voted to impeach because they thought they could force his hand and drag him down. And it blew up in their faces. It wasn't the "right thing to do" because no crime had been committed. They had been searching and searching for years to try and pin something on him and finally found something that had at somewhat existence tie to reality.

Oh my: Administration admits that Colorado Dem was offered job to drop out of primary

Alternate headline: “Sestak story just getting started.” The news here isn’t that Andrew Romanoff was offered a job to help clear the way for Michael Bennet in the Senate primary; the Denver Post reported that allllll the way back in September of last year, citing multiple sources in the state Democratic leadership. The news is that the White House denied it at the time and that unnamed “administration officials” are formally un-denying it now

...Presumably the “administration officials” who ‘fessed up this afternoon were worried about Colorado media revisiting the story in the wake of l’affaire Sestak and decided to try to short-circuit the coverage by admitting what happened. Except that … by refusing to say what job he was offered and who offered it, they’re going to kick off all sorts of new speculation. If you’re going to come clean, come clean. The million-dollar exit question: How many more Sestaks and Romanoffs are there?

Hot Air Oh my: Administration admits that Colorado Dem was offered job to drop out of primary

Curiouser and Curiouser

Yes - the machinations behind the scenes at the White House are likely in full on red button panic mode - and I don't believe Obama has a clue as to how it will turn out. He is given a script to read and then sent off to golf, have dinner with the Mexican president, shoot some hoops, go golfing again.

Those who say the Sestak story is a non-story simply don't understand the political machine in DC.

Whenever the White House attempts to scoff at something as a non-story, the alarm goes off.

When a high ranking White House figure like Gibbs repeats he will defer to the White House counsel for the appropriate answer - the ship is taking on some serious water and the bilges are running full on trying to keep up...

In Chicago you just clam up and wait for some other news story to knock it off the front pages. Either that or dead bodies start turning up in the river.

Shocking: politicians engage in politics.

Why is it that now that a DEMOCRAT has possibly broken a law, it's all supposed to just be ok because they're just "being politicians"??

Fucking 8 fucking years of screaming about Bush being a criminal, and now you mother fuckers are defending possible felonies.

How about you grow some fucking balls and fucking vote out EVERYONE who plays those kinds of politics?

Fucking pussies.

BRAVO! Screw this partisan bullsqueeze.:clap2:

This country isn't headed down the crapper because of government. It's headed down the crapper because of the fucking VOTERS.

Most of you mother fuckers are BEYOND retarded.

A government is only as good as the people voting for it.

This was basically just you seconding what I said, right?

Yep, I agree. People want to blame Congress, except it's the people who votes for Congress. People want to blame the candidates we have for the Presidency every four years, except people vote either Democrat or Republican expecting somehow for things to be different. Only thing different is the type of lube they use as they screw Americans on a constant basis.
