As long as there is islam there will be no peace.

As for Iraq; Sunnis will never vote for anyone who's not Sunni.
Shiites will never vote for anyone who's not Shiite.
Kurds will never vote for anyone who's not Kurd. (Kurd is the only group that's not defined by their religious affiliation)

The Country was forced into it's borders after the Ottoman Empire was defeated. The tribes tradional boundaries were not considered. There should be a Kurdistan, a Sovereign Nation of Kurds that encompasses nothern Iraq and a large portion of what is now Turkey.

As for the Sunnis and Shiites, They're not different traditional tribes, they split about 800AD in a fight over religious leaders. The Shiite leader supposedly went down a well to escape Sunni assassins and is supposed to come bck out of the well when the Shiites prepare the way for him, mainly kill everyone who's not Shiite.

Actually, it's Prime Minister al-Maliki who is the source of the Sunni anger. He has alienated and marginalized the Sunni in Iraq.
