Six things the Lord Hates

That is not what you were first saying. You were saying the Lord hates people. There’s a difference. Loves the sinner but hates the sin. Got it.

Proverbs 6:16-19 (NKJV) These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

A proud Heart

Proverbs 21:4 A haughty look, a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked is sin.

James 4:6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

A Lying Tongue
Matthew 5:11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

The father of all lies
John 8:44-46 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me?

The Lord Loves
Ephesians 4:24-29 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.
"Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

The Story of Ananias
Acts 5:1-11 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.
And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Acts 5: 3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.
And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.
Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.
And Peter answered her, "Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?" She said, "Yes, for so much."
Then Peter said to her, "How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out."
Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband.
So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.

Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Proverbs 12:23 A prudent man conceals knowledge, But the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.

Shedding of innocent blood
Genesis 4:8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

Cain Shedding of Innocent Blood
Psalm 51:14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

David Shedding of innocent blood to have Bathsheba
Genesis 9:6 "Whoever sheds man's blood, By man, his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God, He made man.

Matthew 5:21-25 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.'
But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hellfire.
Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary delivers you to the judge, the judge hands you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

1 John 3:15 (NKJV) Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

A Dividing Heart
Jeremiah 17:9-10 "The heart is deceitful above all things And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

Psalm 44:21 Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart

Psalm 44:21 Would not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

Ezekiel 36:27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

One that shifty to Evil

Proverbs 14:16-17A A wise man fears and departs from evil, But a fool rages and is self-confident.
A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, And a man of wicked intentions is hated.

Fault witnessing
Exodus 20:19 Then they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die."

Deuteronomy 5:20 "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Exodus 23:1 "You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

Psalm 27:12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence.

Proverbs 6:19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

1 Kings 21:13 And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!" Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones so that he died.

Proverbs 19:9 A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who speaks lies shall perish.

So, when your children or friends do something wrong, do you hate them? You discipline your children but do it out of love. You might want to read the Cain story again.

Wrong again. See, the Bible is the blueprint of God's true Church. Our Church follows the blueprint to a tee. And, the modern day revelation books also are supported by the Bible. Thus, you are wrong.

Let me know the Bible verse that says, “God hates the sin but loves the sinner.”

I’ll start quoting it. Is it in the book of Matthew?

You've given lots of versus where God hates the sin. But, nowhere did he say he hates the sinner. If He did, you would have it. Instead, He has always loved us.

Romans 6:23 For the Wages of Sin is Death. This is the second death.

Revelation 2:11 He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

In Rom. 1:18; God’s wrath is in view.

In Rom. 1:19-20; Man can see the power of God in the world.

In Rom. 1:21-22; Man refuses to give God glory and honor, and man’s manifestation, total spiritual deadness, and total depravity begin with our first parents, Adam and Eve.

In Romans 1:24, 26, 28; God gives them up to a Reprobate mind,

And Romans 1:29-31; There are 24 Sins, God speaks about in these verses.

In Romans 1:32; Man knows he deserves to be damned and that he persists in his sins, and that he even enjoys and delights to see others to sin against God, because of his depravity.
God created all things...including sin

Your controllable god is popular. You’re fine. I just find it comical. I look forward to reading the Bible again for the fourth time to discover other inconsistencies in modern Christian culture. You actually crack me up but you are normal. I’m the weird one. People love all the false doctrines that validate American culture. It’s very entertaining to see how popular these false doctrines are.

its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man going to heaven....however in my fathers house there are many mansions and the streets are paved in gold....despite the fact the love of money is the root of ALL EVIL

When you say inconsistencies, could you be more specific?

Just one or two at a time to discuss.
In multiple places the Bible says, “Jacob I loved but Esau I hated.”

Saying that God loves everyone is at least somewhat inaccurate. We know God hated Esau. The Bible doesn’t lie. So you could update your garbage doctrine by saying God loves everyone except Esau. We can start there I suppose.

The word hated in Hebrew means to be loved less than someone else, not to be disliked with bitter hostility (compare Genesis 29:31). Jacob stood as a symbol for Israel or the chosen people while Esau (Edom) symbolized the world. This gives the Lord’s statement much broader meaning.
I once was on a retreat with the Catholic school I taught at. I'm not Catholic but I still taught there as they were open to non-Catholics teaching there as well as non-Catholic students as well. At the retreat, the Priest who taught the lesson was a PhD in logic and reasoning. And, he concluded by stating "the opposite of love is NOT hate. It's indifference." This explains the above definition of "hated" in Hebrew as not being hated the way we interpret it. Now, if you have ever been slighted by anyone and ignored, how did that feel to you? How does it feel to have someone feel indifferent to you? When I broke up with my girlfriend in high school, that's how she approached me as indifferent. Drove me insane and hurt a lot. I wish she would have just hated me. It can feel worse than being hated because it is usually from someone you care deeply for. Esau cared for the Lord a lot but the Lord ignored Esau and gave Jacob the glory and His descendants to be the chosen people.

So, what say you about my take on this?

The word hated in Hebrew means

I think we are done talking about this. You just said the Bible is unreliable. If that’s true I can’t use the Bible to make any points. You can’t have a debate if the two sides don’t agree on the same premise.

I was saying all kinds of things from the Bible because I believe the Bible is the authority on the Christian religion. You are claiming the Bible is mistranslated. If that’s the case I have no resource to use other than asking God Himself. So until I hear from Him it is worthless discussing this with you. If you think the Bible is mistranslated then you make God into anything you want Him to be. If we agree on that premise then you won the debate hard core. Score 100 you 0 me. You are the winner. I am humble enough to admit defeat.
