Signature sizes

Heya folks,

Since we get a number of reports on sig sizes, I thought it might be a good idea to update you all on sigs (I only recently realized this myself).

Different signature sizes are allowed depending on the membership (ie Gold members, supporting members etc).

These signatures sizes are hard wired - which means you can't exceed your allotted size (and before you ask, there is no such thing as signature viagra).

So - pretty much, we no longer have to moderate signature sizes with one exception and that is signatures that existed in the old format that are now oversized in the new format. I don't think there are too many of those.

So - if you report oversized sigs - we aren't ignoring it, it's just that they are most likely not oversized.

thanks for the verification. In the old format, the max was 11- lines height max. I don't want to ignore everyone's siggie just because of a few drama queens or people too lazy to read the rules.

I find a lot of the signatures to be just kind of pompous. What does it mean to have a signature? That you agree with the person who actually wrote it? Big deal. Who cares?
