Stop this ridiculous War on Drugs!

Sicko Americans pay hundreds of billions every year on recreational drugs. Stop the market and you put the cartels out of business overnight.

Why don't we do this? It makes sense.

Because political hacks and tens of thousands of people have fat wallets and purses coming to them from drug dealers. Legalize drugs and their goodies dry up.

The War on Drugs is the biggest farce and fraud ever perpetrated on the American public other than the Federal Reserve.

IT is beyond reason, that Mexican criminal organizations pump poison into our country that kills around 70k American citizens each year, and our government does not consider them terrorists.

The Mexican government cannot control these fiends at all, none whatsoever. If the Cartels demand that the Mexican government release criminals, the government does so. They need our help but will not ask for it for fear of what the Drug Cartels might do.

The Mexican government is by definition a failed and helpless government, a fiction no better than the Somali government.

Failed state - Wikipedia

A failed state is a political body that has disintegrated to a point where basic conditions and responsibilities of a sovereign government no longer function properly (see also fragile state and state collapse). A state can also fail if the government loses its legitimacy even if it is performing its functions properly. For a stable state it is necessary for the government to enjoy both effectiveness and legitimacy. Likewise, when a nation weakens and its standard of living declines, it introduces the possibility of total governmental collapse. The Fund for Peace characterizes a failed state as having the following characteristics:

Common characteristics of a failing state include a central government so weak or ineffective that it has an inability to raise taxes or other support, and has little practical control over much of its territory and hence there is a non-provision of public services. When this happens, widespread corruption and criminality, the intervention of state and non-state actors, the appearance of refugees and the involuntary movement of populations, sharp economic decline, and foreign military intervention can occur.[1]

The level of government control required to avoid being considered a failed state varies considerably amongst authorities.[2] Furthermore, the declaration that a state has "failed" is generally controversial and, when made authoritatively, may carry significant geopolitical consequences

Mexico is a failed state.

But what should we do about it? Stop worrying about every tiny nation in the Middle Easta nd start protecting our own citizens first? Declare martial law? What?
Nonsense. Mexico is a perfect example of Capitalism winning. Even the US supported federal government of Mexico gets its ass handed to it by private enterprise. If the US were to bother with any involvement south of the border...
We would install the proven to be capable, and strong.

What a stupid reply. Mexico, while being one of the wealthiest countries on the planet mineralogicaly wise, is a third world shithole because of ONE PARTY rule. A corrupt party that makes sure the peons remain peons.

Exactly what the leftists are trying to do here.
Horse shit.Free enterprise stomped “Federal Gubmint authority...” into submission. Because when profit is on the line...? Greed, and the thirst for power does it better than Jingoism every time. The best Capitalists in Mexico are getting the fucking job done. And they don’t give a half a shit if you like it, or not.

Child killing drug cartels aren't exactly the most stellar examples of free market capitalism. Or are they?

I picked "other, please explain" ... do I have too? ... y'all are just going to be mad at me ... maybe bruise my tender ego ...

Annexation ...

Make them all US citizens and give each of them a damn gun, with some ammo ... maybe all the way down to the Columbia border ...

We can't protect our own children here, why are you so worried about Mexico? Mass shootings killing way more Americans that drug cartels. Only place in the world where school children get active shooter training.

Boy, that kind of statement takes a real special kind of stupid.

There were 15,482 overdose deaths on heroin alone in 2017: Heroin Overdose Data | Drug Overdose | CDC Injury Center

Mass shootings aren't even in the same solar system as that body count, brainlet. Why do you leftists insist on lying all the time?

Are you people nuts? Some states maintain sanctuary cities for drug cartel members and God only knows who else. Police are ordered not to cooperate with ICE agents. Democrats ridicule he construction of the Wall. Fix freaking America before you think about invading Mexico.

People aren't forced to take drugs. They are willing customers. Kids getting shot in school are victims. But amazing that our children are regularly shot and the right ignores it. But as soon as 9 people are shot in Mexico, send in the military.

Typical dumbass Republican solution.

Attack those currently supplying the demand for illegal drugs and thinking that they solved the drug problem.

Too stupid to get that we have a need to protect countries in the Middle East because you stupid assfucks think we can't live without the black goop they suck out of the ground. We knew since the 70's that oil use would drive us to military action.

Republicans can't solve shit.

One day you stupid shits will learn what a sanctuary city is. Until then, remain stupid ignorant people.

I'm pretty sure a lot more than that are killed by our pharmaceutical companies with opioids. But hey lets worry about Mexico right?

There's been what...three, maybe four cases of mass shootings at schools over the last decade and you call that a regular occurrence?

Last decades? Try last year.

2018 'worst year for US school shootings'
This year, 113 people have been killed or injured in school shootings in the United States.

So by your own admission you made an apples and oranges comparison. Nice try.

We most certainly do not ignore it. We disagree with your inane solutions. You clowns assign the blame to inanimate objects instead of the societal ROT, fostered by the left, that leads people to do bad things with inanimate objects.

In the 1950s you could order a gun right out of the goddamn Sears catalog and have it delivered to your front door. And for some crazy reason, we didn't have rashes of school shootings then.

So what changed, genius? The guns? Or the people?

Both the ruling and the opposition party of Mexico are members of the Socialist International (Members) Some choice they have huh? But government is only one of the ways that leftists rule a country. Their cartels are brutally and capitalistically efficient and their power to govern is a real as the Federal Government's is.
The reality is that is who we have to deal with and we should take them on and their Democrat allies in Congress be damned.
I dotn say we should occupy Mexico. Its a failed socialist state and will stay a failed socialist state. We should invade and create a buffer zone. Maybe when the escape valve of fleeing is closed the Mexican people will right their own ship. I doubt it but in any case we need the pressure off the border.

Disingenuous reporting. You and the BBC want to make it seem as if there's been 113 mass shootings at elementary schools when in fact most of them probably took place on a college campus where adults were injured, not killed.

4 or more fatalities is the bare minimum for an event to be classified as a mass shooting. Your pet issue of banning high capacity magazines and semi-automatics would have done precisely jack shit to curtail most of those 113 shootings.

Have you bothered noticing that countries with strong gun control don't have regular mass shootings? When was the last school shooting in the UK? Guns have changed drastically. When I was a kid nobody owned an AR15 or similar rifle. People had bolt action and lever action rifles for hunting mostly. Semi-auto rifles didn't have huge magazines. The gun industry has made weapons for mass killing common and mass killing has become more common. Go figure.
