I don't see bones breaking from hooks, but I can see some of the knotwork being dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

With the hooks, the biggest dangers are mostly infection if you don't know how to steralize everything and piercing things you aren't supposed to (eg: muscle tissue). Such suspension is usually not a sexual thing, though.

Personally, I'm with you; anything that can described by the word 'piercing' is off the table.

I'd say the likelihood of broken bones from a suspension come more from coming loose and falling than from the suspension itself. Depends on the suspension, but you don't have to fall very far to break something. All you have to do is fall at the wrong angle. Hell, my daughter managed to fracture each of her wrists at different times just by falling while roller-blading. And consider that a person who's been in a rope suspension doesn't have free limbs to try to catch themselves with.
