Senate Republicans just "blinked" on voting for their HC bill....

It's not ready. Why would they vote?
Seven and a half years wasn't enough time?

We both know they had no intention of repealing it.

The honest ones are at least trying to get something better. Whether they succeed or not who knows.

My version would have been less than a page:

"the affordable care act is hereby repealed."

But hey what can you do?

Conservatives only whine, do you people not know that yet? Come on folks read some history, wake up.

The Rhetoric of Reaction

"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." John Kenneth Galbraith

"Big Business, in America, is almost whole devoid of anything even poetically describable as public spirit. It is frankly on the make, day in and day out, and hence for the sort of politician who gives it the best chance. In order to get that chance it is willing to make any conceivable sacrifice of common sense and the common decencies. Big Business was in favor of Prohibition, believing that a sober workman would make a better slave than the one with a few drinks in him. It was in favor of gross robberies and extortions that went on during the war, and profited by all of them. It was in favor of the crude throttling of free speech that was then undertaken in the name of patriotism, and is still in favor of it." H.L. Mencken

dipshits better blink or they'll wind up with a fist in both eyes ..

Seven fucking years and they couldn't even hold a vote. This delay just proves that Conservatives were playing politics of Obamacare repeal but were never serious about actually repealing it.
It was all theater for the rubes, exactly as I have been saying for many years.

The Emperor Has No Clothes

You guys said this about the House Bill too.......and about Hilary winning...and the last 4 special elections................

hang on to those moronic notions, 2dumb of your glory days........
(if that makes your ulcers feel better.....LOL)

MY 3-STEP HEALTH CARE PROPOSAL:

1. Get yourself a job;
2. Buy insurance of your choice in an open market;
3. Thank you + good night.

Does the above apply to a 73 year old woman with stage 4 breast cancer?

Does the above apply to a 8 year old with leukemia?

Does the above apply to a 25 year old with MS???

You fucking MORON !!!!

Here's the reason they won't repeal ObamaCare and have decided to let it "crash and burn".

Because they know going back to what we had before ObamaCare would be MUCH WORSE. Insurance rates would actually go up even faster than before.

This way, they can let ObamaCare take the blame for their impotence at coming up with a better plan. They don't DARE repeal ObamaCare without a replacement, because they would totally own the massive skyrocketing costs which would follow.

So now they have the stupid, gullible fucking rubes buying into this "crash and burn" bullshit. The rubes will parrot what they are told to parrot, and bleev what they are told to bleev. The rubes have proven a thousand times a thousand they NEVER think.

You are 100% correct, but do not neglect to mention the trap that elected right wingers made for themselves (including the orange clown).....That is, PROMISING repeal AND replace with a BETTER, CHEAPER plan that would cover everybody

All Republican Senators on way to WH for meeting with DT.

Not Democrats. He is the President of Republicans only. In my lifetime I never see such a divisive president if one can call him that. He is NOT my president.

Elections have consequences.

We don't mind the Democrats joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.

The republicans would have voted on it this afternoon, but they could not agree on what to order from lunch takeout. There were 12 votes for pizza, 20 votes for hamburgers, 3 votes for hot dogs, 8 votes for chinese. The conservatives refused to yield the cell phone, and the moderates had a filibuster on the lobby pay phone. Pence came and offered to pray for a decision from god. In frustration of the deadlock, 6 senators left to attend an NRA meeting at the rifle range, 4 senators started early vacations with their mistresses in the Caribbean, 6 senators went to mass, three went to cash their paychecks, 3 left to go have elective ACA covered surgery while it is still paid for by their health plan, and 2 checked back into detox.

Trump to GOP senators: If health care bill fails, "it's just going to be something that we're not going to like, and that's okay."

That is all both parties do, play politics. They know what butters their bread and how they get elected.

"I just finished a great meeting with the Republican Senators concerning HealthCare. They really want to get it right, unlike OCare!

With ZERO Democrats to help, and a failed, expensive and dangerous ObamaCare as the Dems legacy, the Republican Senators are working hard!" - Trump on twitter 30 seconds ago

Well, they are political parties. But both sides know that corporate and wealthy donors are who butter their bread. After all, they spend 80-90% of their time around wealthy people and lobbyists. Sure wish we could get money out of politics...

That's like trying to remove the smell from dead fish, it's part of the fabric of politics. They are all for sale, and they all sell out at some level. Politicians are not subject to any standard of performance to keep their job. Congress as a whole has a very unfavorable public rating, but the individuals in congress only have to win a state wide or congressional district to keep their job.

Warren Buffet had a pretty good idea-

I could end the deficit in five minutes. You just pass a law that says that any time there's a deficit of more than three percent of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election. Yeah, yeah, now you've got the incentives in the right place, right? (Laughs)

Oh, that would be clever. Not only would we have Trump, who can't get anything done due to inexperience, but an entire congress of amateurs, equally clueless.

Democrats lost almost every important election in the last eight years including the heavily funded Georgia special election. Radicalized democrats even tried to kill republican congresspeople. If republicans "blinked" over the health care bill Trump still has 3 1/2 years left.
