This may sound like a dire prediction but I believe I'm right on... The Dems and the left, in effect, hate this nation... Their willing comrades in academia, even in the high schools and lower levels, have taught our poor children to hate America... What's the first thing the asses in academia teach about American history? Well we all know don't we.... Americans are the root of all evil..
As Lincoln said "A house divided against itself cannot stand".
The left and their cohorts/puppets in the media and academia make every attempt to divide this nation and they have succeeded. The only question now is what will start the next civil war... Gay marriage? could be... But I think it will be more like this..... A liberal Democrat (Any other kind?) will get elected president and then attempt to turn over American military sovereignty to a international body (UN) or try to subjugate American control to an alliance (NATO). That will trigger the war... For God's sake I hope the states will win out over the hyperfederalism we have today...

You arent the first person on this board predicting a second civil war. you wont be the last one. Unless something changes soon there will be one whether we want it or not.

Actually there has been a growing backlash to what the schools have been teaching for some time. At the forefront is the homeschool movement. Some homeschool for religious reasons, though this is NOT the largest percentage, contrary to the press given.

Many homeschool because they don't like the curriculum or lack of one in many of the public schools. Some because they are afraid of the lack of moral and ethical teaching-which is very different than religious beliefs. Some, albeit a small percentage believe that the schools are indoctrinating their children.

There are many fine teachers and schools in our country, public and private. There is a bias though in most education courses towards 'value free' teaching, as if that isn't a bias in itself.

I've been saying this for quite some time now. I need not say "I agree".

I do not think a Democratic president would try to subjugate the country to a body like UN or NATO. That is not my fear, rather it would be that they want so badly to be "liked" by the foreign powers and to "keep power" domestically that the tendency is towards inaction on the foreign front and socialism at home.

I do not think the result would be civil war. If nothing 'bad' happened, they would remain in power and the country will slide like EU has been for the past 50 years. I don't think that will happen though, 9/11 was not a warning, but shot across the bow.

I believe a second Civil War is coming. It may take until we're dead and gone and don't realize it happened. But it will happen.

It will be between those that want to keep America as it always was, and those that want to change it.

Well on this we'll disagree. America is always changing, as Bob Dole said yesterday, (paraphrasing), 'It's a better country than the time of Washington or Lincoln, it will be a better country in the future. America is not finished, it is always becoming.'

I can't argue that it's changing. I can argue that it changes in ways that aren't good. Like the muslims broadcasting a call to prayer over loud speakers five times a day. Or queers marrying. Or the war being waged against Christianity by the liberals and their attack squad, the ACLU.

Some change we "don't" need. But there seems to be more and more of it everyday.

I'm not alone with this thought.

Im curious as to your thoughts on the recent speeches given by Ted kennedy, Al Gore, hillary and the like calling for the heads of the administration. How is that not harmful to this country during a time of war?

Suppose your a soldier in the field, not a far stretch since you were in the military, and you kept hearing on the news how Democratic leaders like the aformentioned are calling for the removal of your commander in chief and all his subordinants? Isn't that a major strike on morale? Doesn't that cause some troops not to be of a sound mind when combating people who are out to kill them daily?

Im curious as to what you think DK.

There are always issues that will irritate some, the muslim broadcasting is one for me. ;) Abortion is another, (except in some circumstances). Bad schools, another. and so on.

Those are not the issues of a civil war, though abortion potentially could be, if enough people were against it in ALL circumstances. But they are not.

You seem too young to be so inexperienced to the adage, 'the more things change, the more they stay the same.'

Too young.... lol. I'm forty eight. I'll be forty nine July sixth. Too young... HA!:D

There won't be any war for just any ONE reason Kath, it'll be a culmination of ALL the reasons.

No shit insein. I've heard some of the vile tripe these militant radical liberals have been spewing lately. It borders on treasonous.

I'd personally like to kick ted kennedy in the ass so hard, his mama's ass would hurt.

I think Abortion and gay marriage will be the causing agenda.

Either:

a)The gay "rights" groups will succeed at forcing gay marriage on the majority of the population of the United States and members fo the right will rebel in South Carolina.

B)The majority will succeed in stopping the redefinittion of marriage and the extreme left will try to rebel in California.

I don think the right is likely to rebel over the abortion issue since we are still fighting it. But if we succeed in making it unconstitutional the left will certainly rebel.

The nation is too sharply divided. and the middle is losing ground

I dismiss kennedy, gore, clinton, and all those that join them. I've said it myself on this very board that its WAY too early to be calling for resignations or firings until a thorough investigation can be done. One that isn't impeded by captains and generals refusing to testify and letting their junior nco's take the fall.

Morale, here's the thing. When I was in we were taught that we follow the orders of the CIC but we always follow the lead of our commanding officers. It is the CO's that are responsible for morale, discipline, and professionalism. These marines and soldiers over there KNOW what the lunatic fringe is trying to do and as long as they maintain their professionalism the rest will fall into line.

Why is it that so many here equate disgust and loathing for that dangerous waterhead occupying the Oval Office with the same feelings towards America? You know as well as I do that it just ain't so.

When I joined the military, I took an oath to support the Constituion against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. Dubbyuh took the same oath when he was installed as President. I lived up to my commitment, with honor. Dubbyuh though, seems more interested in subverting the Constitution than defending it. He, and his neocon handlers are the enemy, not me or anyone else who oppose them.

As for the gay marriage thing, in an interview on "Larry King: Live" He stated that the issue was up to the states...And now the little hypocrite wants a Consitutional Amendment prohibiting same gender marriages.

Maybe it's generalization, something EVERYBODY here is guilty of at 1 time or another. Many people I have seen that display "loathing" of GWB are on a rampage that borders on sedition.

Whether or not you want to realize it, the USA is at war.

Not only that, bully is part of a loathing lunatic fringe that borders on treason.

You sure say that dubbyah is evil and subverts the constitution alot, bully. when are you going to tell us where and when he has actually done this?

It was an issue left up to the states until the gay activists tried using court rulings in Massachussets and direct violations of laws in California to force Gay marriage to be legal in every state. If you think that isnt what they are doing then you have to be totally ignorant.
