Scott Walker Says He Doesn't Like The Minimum Wage

In Bernie Sanders America nobody will have to work for wages.

Government will give to each according to their needs. Needs as determined by a central committee of right-thinking Democrat Party leaders.

The magic that makes this possible? The robotic money-printing presses coupled with a fatalistic belief in the value of what they print.

When did Bernie Sanders state 'nobody will have to work for wages?'

Any high school economics student will tell you that labor is a commodity....Your emotionally juvenile reaction to that is not really pertinent to the discussion...

Walker is talking out of his ass. He knows full well that as President, he lacks any authority to eliminate the minimum wage....

So, either he didn't say this, or HR Huffing-stuff msi-characterized what he did say.

My comment was to traitorpatroit, but since you've replied I'll address you.

A high school economics student may tell you that labor is a commodity, which is why we have colleges that teach you the opposite.

A commodity is an object traded in the marketplace without differentiation, such as soybeans which are things. PEOPLE ARE NOT THINGS!!!!

Walker, as well as all of the Republicans ARE 'talking out of their ass.' That is because the GOP (for the third consecutive time) is trying to lose the White House because they have enough 'low thinker' votes to keep them in Congress.
You clearly do not understand business....and please spare Me the braggadocio about how rich you are.....its boorish in the extreme....

A commodity is one that is traded or utilized.....or if you prefer, a resource that can be purchased and used......Labor is purchased, its called a wage....and that purchased item is used to provide output.....and since you're so ignorant of business...output is what a business provides for profit....

Now, get a clue.....and have nice day.

Scott Walker Says He ll Champion American Workers But Doesn t Like The Minimum Wage
Scott Walker plans to abolish the minimum wage. It's just idiocy. I certainly don't like leftist policies, but such things are beyond my understanding. is beyond the bounds of decency. There are thousands people in America who live for a few dollars a day. If we abolish the minimum wage they would simply die of hunger. Walker is just a populist. I don't think he has any chance to become the President. He will go straight to the dustbin of history.

There are thousands people in America who live for a few dollars a day. If we abolish the minimum wage they would simply die of hunger.

Ridiculous claim.

You'd have a point if we weren't the richest country in the world who has poor people and food banks.

We pay poor people to sit around.
We allow millions of low skilled illegals to take jobs
from low skilled Americans.
We have the fattest poor people in the world.
Abolishing the minimum wage is not going to cause people to die of hunger.

A stick of gum is purchased. An employee is hired and trained to make an employer all of his/her money.

Why do American companies move jobs overseas?
Labor is a global commodity.
What happens when you try to fix the price of a commodity to what you think it should be rather than what the market says?
No one buys your commodity.

"Keep American jobs here" and "High paying American jobs" only co-exist when people have a marketable skill; people in minimum wages jobs most often do not.

Reducing the American worker to a commodity is the problem. How much do you pay an employee that makes you all of your money?

How much do you pay an employee that makes you all of your money?

That employee would be paid very well.
The one sweeping the floors, cleaning the bathrooms or dropping the fry basket into the oil is probably overpaid at the current minimum wage.

Or walker is just talking out his ass to pander to right wingers.
Its what candidates do. Hillary is the Queen of talking out of her ass...

Just to be clear, you are admitting that you were full of it when you said the article was a lie or misrepresentation?
Nope. I still think that the article is either a mischaracterization of what was actually said, or that Walker doesn't know what he's talking about.

I'm right either way....You...not so much.

Moron..labor is purchased for a specific duration of time each day.

Go bother your parents....

Wow, so I decided to read the article after all and no where does he say he will do away with the minimum wage....

Figures...

There is little difference between the employees who are only qualified to sweep the floors.

We pay poor people to sit around.

So there are enough jobs for people to work and make more than welfare?

We allow millions of low skilled illegals to take jobs from low skilled Americans.

Under Obama, we have the highest numbers of deportations in history.

We don't have 'low skilled workers' in this country.

We have the fattest poor people in the world.

If all you could afford is McDonalds, wouldn't you be fat too? Maybe you are!

Abolishing the minimum wage is not going to cause people to die of hunger.

Paying people less to buy food may do that.

That employee would be paid very well.

As they should be.

Many died to come to this country to be free from Government oppression and be able just work at a job

today these spoiled ass people believe they are entitled to be paid a certain wage even if they aren't WORTH IT.

This is why the Progressive/democrats are able to push Socialism so easy now

these people writing that article will be our DOWN fall

Nope. I still think that the article is either a mischaracterization of what was actually said, or that Walker doesn't know what he's talking about.

I'm right either way....You...not so much.

Instead of writing your opinion, correct the mischaracterization.

Let's boot 15 million illegals and find out.

Under Obama, we have the highest numbers of deportations in history.

We don't have 'low skilled workers' in this country.

LOL!

If all you could afford is McDonalds, wouldn't you be fat too?

I can make my own much healthier meals at a lower cost than McDonalds.
It's also a matter of lack of physical activity.

Wow, so I decided to read the article after all and no where does he say he will do away with the minimum wage....

Figures...

Walker has been a vocal opponent of the minimum wage, stating it doesn't serve a purpose. On Sunday, the governor signed a state budget in which he changed language so that Wisconsin workers are merely guaranteed a minimum wage rather than a living wage. Under this new budget, minimum-wage workers are expected to earn nearly $6,000 a year less than the living wage. Wisconsin's minimum wage is $7.25, but the living wage in the state is $10.13, according to a January study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Walker IS correct. What he signed doesn't serve a purpose. It keeps his constituents $2.88/hr below a living wage. So why did he sign it?

Probably because he understands economics.
